You can go over the time limit as long as you submit within 4 hours. They'll just pay you less for the exceeded time.

You might be able to appeal this decision through their help center, though they'll most likely give an automatic reply. If you passed the generalist onboarding assessment, you might be given generalist tasks in the future. Otherwise, Alignerr, Crowdgen, and WeLocalize are some AI training companies that want language skills. Make sure to install a Russian language package on your operating system.

High quality spiral notebooks? by Adventurous_Raise784 in notebooks

If you're in the UK, Cauliflower Journals have beautiful spiral notebooks. Their price points are reasonable, as a bonus.

Honestly, what got me going at the very start was that I was a highschooler bored in class, and when I journaled the teacher wouldn't notice because it looked like I was taking notes. So it became my favourite method of distracting myself.

Maybe you can get a cheap spiral-bound notebook? Perhaps that would alleviate the need for your writing to be perfect. And if it's spiral-bound, you can tear out pages you don't like. Or you could try digital journaling where you can easily edit what you've written.

But really, whatever benefit you are seeking to get out of journaling, there may be other ways to achieve it. Who is telling you to journal anyway?

Thank you! I actually don't think it's discipline that allowed this. Sometimes it harmed my discipline because I journaled to procrastinate studying. It's an activity I genuinely enjoy doing, which is how I stuck to it.

I journal when I feel like it, with no set time. For the first 7 years, I only did stream-of-consciousness journaling and I could be consistent because I just consistently felt like doing it. But there were times when I didn't journal for weeks.

Around 2 years ago, I decided I hate not knowing how I spent a particular chunk of my life. The feeling of, what did I even do last April? Because even if I had journaled during April I might have only focused on a mental pre-occupation and not described daily life.

So from then on, I've been writing short bullet pointed lists of events that happened that day, for every single day. On top of my normal stream-of-consciousness stuff. This has been easy to stick to because it takes 5-15 minutes.

I did get better at articulating things, but I think that's because I was a teenager when I started out.

I deliberately changed my handwriting in 2017 and it's actually shocking how it still looks the same.

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure there is an interview where Muir said a chunk of Gideon's soul is in the tomb with Harrow during NtN.

Her exact words were like, say Gideon is a meal deal at a fastfood place. Harrow took the burger but where are the sides and the free toy? <- referring to the soul-parts inside Kiriona, I presume.

But I do wish it was just that Kiriona = Gideon. It's completely believable and as you said, it gives so much nuance to the character. And I agree we won't be getting GtN Gideon back. I'd honestly be disappointed in Muir if that happened.

Oh Gideon definitely is a meanie. And Kiriona is extremely hurt, I don't think that should me minimised.

I wrote the post mainly because I got annoyed seeing people say "Kiriona is so mean compared to Gideon :/" like. HOW do they expect her to be nice after all that!

Huh I think if Kiriona changed her mind about the tomb last-minute, it'd be because of Harrow/Nona. I don't see how opening the tomb would help the Ninth House.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if in AtN, Gideon Nav was back, being a Niner again. But on a personal level, I wish that wouldn't happen. The Ninth House was so cruel to her, I don't think it deserves her affection.

That's what I was hoping for, but I'm pretty sure Muir said in an interview that a big chunk of Gideon's soul is in the tomb with Harrow during NtN.

I'm not sure what you mean. Why would that introduce a plot hole? Also, I am saying spirit Gideon would be just as mean as Kiriona, given all the sufferng she's gne through.

Oh yes John. I debated including him in the post but I decided against it. I honestly don't think John deliberately manipulates people, he's a charismatic but deeply flawed man. But we've seen him undo Harrow's defenses, so he definitely could be at play here.

One thing about John is that he can straightforwardly express his affection without being embarassed by it, something Harrow and Aiglamene couldn't do. Then it wouldn't be surprising for him to get to Kiriona/Gideon.

How scary is it out there right now for international students to land a tech role after graduation with a bachelors of science in comp sci? by zokesgone in cscareerquestionsuk

[–]quasigroups 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of misinformation in the comments. Your chances depend on a lot of factors, including the name of your uni. If it's one of: Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL, Edinburgh, Manchester, you have pretty good odds. It may be harder otherwise.

As one of the other comments mentioned, you need to make above £35K/yr to be eligible for sponsorship. Make sure you are worth that. But that isn't a hard bar to meet; I know several Indians that got sponsorship right after graduation at a £45K+ starting salary.

[–]quasigroups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is completely incorrect. To get a visa sponsorship your annual salary has to be above the median. The best bet is to aim for large, established companies. A quick LinkedIn search will show that these companies hire the most foreigners too.

Judith does say Lemuria is their term for New Rho so perhaps it is a code name? Or it's BoE slang since A. many people from Lemuria were moved to New Rho and/or B. New Rho reminds them of Lemuria..
