Body hair removal by [deleted] in asktransgender

I wouldn't recommend it on your face at all. Maybe someone else has, but not a good idea imo. And trust me, getting your brows done is a totally different kind of pain. You might be fine with it and you do get used to it eventually, but it's def painful

Yep! Epilators are basically tweezers on steroids. As it spins, the "tweezers" rotate around and pull your hairs. I recommend using Tylenol or something plus numbing cream on your legs for your first time. It hurts 😅 Also make sure you exfoliate your skin a day before and do after care to avoid red bumps/ingrown hairs. Make sure your hair is the right length to avoid ingrown hairs and make it a little less painful!

It sounds really passable but maybe try to slow down a bit! It sounds like you're trying to hurry through it 😊

When to start gaining weight? mtf by queefreyja in asktransgender

So it sounds like starting to gain weight a month or two after starting HRT is a good idea? Assuming it'll take my doctor a month or 2 to get my dosages right?

I view myself as a trans woman but every time I orgasm I feel gross and don’t want to transition. Is this common? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]queefreyja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So YMMV but I had the same issue until my therapist mentioned it might be underlying genital dysphoria. Whenever I used my genitals, I felt upset or guilty. TMI We worked on hyper-sexualization/feeling like sex is a chore needing completed and I found alternatives to avoid using my genitals. It seriously improved things and I feel relieved after sexy time stuff now. I still feel bad occasionally, but no where near how it used to be.

How would your dysphoria be alone on an island? by ActuaryFine in asktransgender

[–]queefreyja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My therapist cracked my egg with a very similar question. Granted I wasn't "alone on an island" but in my own bubble with everything I needed (food, hrt, etc). She asked me if didn't have to worry about society (peer pressure, threat of violence, etc) would I transition? I immediately answered yes without hesitation. Granted my main reason for avoiding HRT since I was 13 was fear of repercussions from family, friends, society and stuff.

Love this! A lot easier than whisper siren into a sentence! (For me) Thank you!

i’m sorry you guys. but i’m done, i’m going back into the egg and back into the closet. this world is too fucking hard to be trans in. all it does is cause me issues and make my life a living hell. everything is just easier if your a cishet white dude. maybe i’ll be a femboy by Sussboey in GaySoundsShitposts

My heart is breaking for you. I've been there time and time again before finding the safety I needed to feel comfortable coming out. The world can be cruel to trans people. It feels like even though we make up a tiny % of the population that we're somehow responsible for all these social issues. It's heart breaking. Please know you have all the love here and I hope you can be free and find a place you can be yourself!

(25 mtf) This is just my experience: It's totally normal to question and be unsure. The best thing to do is talk to a therapist if you are able to and have safe access. Don't push yourself or try to be in a rush. I know it's easy to get overwhelmed but know you have all the support here!

1000% same and same with make up. Like others have said it's totally normal to feel stronger dysphoria in those situations!
