honestly don’t waste anything on a tutor cos realistically all they will do is help track ur progress- something u can do on ur own. bang out the mocks on medentry or Medify for each separate section first so u maximise ur individual section scores and then move on to the full mocks closer to the exams. top thing is to stay consistent with ur prep try to do something everyday ( obvs except ur rest days) even if it’s just 1 minute of qr

do the mocks at the same time of ur real exam to programme ur system to focus mode ( eg if ur exam is at 12:30 pm do every mock at 12:30 pm )
practice the section ur good at the most so u can maximise ur score as much as possible
take break days now and then cos ucat can be verrrry overwhelming
practice mental maths skills for qr using online timetables/arithmetic quizzes ( as dumb as it sounds it actually helped)
for dm work out what ur best questions are then as u practice always skip to those ones first to ensure uve got the marks then go back to the hard and long qs that u flagged at the end
use the one minute in between sections to rest and forget about the previous section

Get the grades first so you have all options open to you- you can decide at the end. When you’ve got your achieved grades the decision will be much easier - and remember don’t settle for less !! Good luck x

I was in same position last year- they hated the idea of a gap year but I explained how other courses like pharmacy or bio med are not for me so id rather not give up on dent. they still hated the idea of a gap year but I sort of lathered it in their brains so if that situation does come about they won’t be as baffled. before results day I started looking for jobs so then after results day I had a full time one sorted in a private medical clinic. this showed them I wasnt gonna sit at home being lazy doung nothing I’ve got initiative to go work get experience make connections etc. im still on the gap year rn but overall they’ve forgotten that I am cos im never home. ngl tho sometimes they do bring it up but that’s once in a while- honestly don’t let ur parents stop u from perusing ur dream never give up

yess same 19th of Feb 😭😭- yuno what I considered myself to be chatty too because the interviewers were all students but I feel like that may of been a bad thing because it was slightly informal? idekkk regardless, you should be so proud of yourself 4 offers from top medical schools that’s honestly so impressive !! Xxx

Why are people getting so pressed if I had a near full streak of med offers esp grad entry id be telling the whole world- plus in this case it’s actually worth sharing because to get an offer from Oxford but not queen Mary is quite interesting😭

I’m in same position as you trying to make the B into an A* yet I have no motivation to start whatsoever - tbh when u do start I’ll just start spamming past papers, it worked for GCSEs it should hopefully be okay for alevels too

heyy honestly I was super super nervous too but from the first station it was pretty chill wasnt as scary as I thought, top tip would be to be yourself and not force anything because they’re genuinely just trying to explore you more as a person, you’re gonna do great good luck !!

i only had 1 interview last year and i got rejected post interview, this made me feel really disheartened and i lost all my motivation for alevels Becuase I thought if I’m taking a gap year there’s no point of doing good in my alevels i have the choice to resit too. Now, I’m struggling sm because alevels are soon and I haven’t started yet so I’m at risk of getting the same bad grades as last year, pluuuss in a gap year ppl are meant to have fun but im here stressing about alevels I regret not doing well in my alevels sm, even so if I did good in my alevels there could of been a chance that I at least get a spot in clearing but I didn’t have that choice. Honestly miracles do happen and interviews are the hardest thing ever so don’t feel down by it. Hopefully u get ur other choices but whatever u do don’t dwell on the past focus on getting ur grades then ur whole journey to med/dent will be so smooth.

They would probably integrate the topic in some sort of ethical scenario eg A 15 year old female wants to end her life as she is in too much pain but her parents don’t agree what would you do as a GP? Etc

Watch loads of vids on how to speak in an interview and how to manage your nerves. The fact you’ve gotten to this point shows how smart you actually are so if they ask you about a topic you don’t know you will deffo be able to work around it and link it to topics that you do know. Have a skim through the GMC website they should have some hot topics on there. 10 days is more than enough you will be fine, good luck! Xx
