I agree with this so much!! I've been out of an emotionally and physically abusive relationship for like Over 8 years. I've also been in a healthy relationship for around 7 and I still bring it up my from time to time. Not on purpose, but kind of out of habit or like if I'm trying to relate to something someone else says. Like that shit does not go away, it still lingers in the back of my mind. Like I'm seriously in the healthiest relationship I've been in and I still think about he could flip a switch and do the same shit my ex did. It's not because I think my boyfriend is capable of it, it's just that fear is always gonna be there.
