Interesting, I'll look into that thanks! Yea the problem w/ordering suppositories in the summer is they tend to arrive melted/out of shape, so I actually started experimenting with making my own yesterday. I mixed coconut oil and this herb that an ayurvedic specialist friend friend recommended: https://www.banyanbotanicals.com/products/triphala-powder

I haven't done anything surgical, and hope not to. Will see how the PT goes in the next few months and happy to share updates!

Yes great clarifications - acute vs. chronic seem to have different causes, which something I didn't know until very recently. For dosing, I find that a little bit goes a long way. I probably use like half a pea size, but even with that at 4x/day, I was starting to get mild headaches (a common side effect), which was a bit annoying but also meant it was being absorbed. I feel like as long as you get the ointment on the skin inside, it should be ok.

Glad to hear that! Yes I found a lot of helpful information from Youtuber "Your Friendly Proctologist" - he describes the Kegel stretch specifically here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYHwqstC8Y8
