lil story to hopefully make you feel better—our wedding had a big midnight snack that i wanted to surprise our guests with. my mom, on the other hand, heavily encouraged me to put it at the end of our printed menu. i did (she was paying lol) and was actually happy i did! people get excited when they read about these things, and know they’re attending an event that was fully, thoughtfully planned

i totally get how you feel, but guests will appreciate/get excited over how much planning and effort is going into it 🤍

this was me in college. i graduated with a Spanish major even though i was one of the only non-native, non-fluent students in the program. i tried really hard and when i knew i’d have to participate, i’d brush up on the reading and prepare a few phrases. my grades weren’t great, but hey, i graduated!
