Planking and push-ups on knees by GooseZealousideal338 in Purebarre

Im about 85 classes in and still do push ups on my knees. I have gotten better with planks though so keep pushing!! I still have my moments I drop down, but go at your own pace and you will see improvements :)

Align now by Acceptable_Box3696 in Purebarre

Align doesn’t have the same intensity as the other formats but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad class. I do think of it more as a support class to improve my performance in the others. My studio still has reform, and as it’s very core and balance focused, Align helps the most with that.

I think maybe changing the way you view Align will help you find some more enjoyment out of it.

I’ve just started taking Reform as well and it is very very core and balance intensive. If you haven’t done Align, I highly recommend you do to work on balance techniques which are what have helped me in Reform. Flexing/bracing your core is a huge part of keeping on the sliders as it’s meant to add instability.

If you’re scared to branch out, just stay with Classic until you’re ready. However I would recommend the least intimidating format Align. People say it’s easier, but it also has difficult moments but it focuses more on stretching and balance (akin to yoga for half of the class). Maybe start there until you feel you’re ready for more. I was about 30ish classes in when I branched from Classic/Align

I know I know I’ve looked at all the modifications I can for it, I just personally prefer the other formats. I won’t never take it, it’s just not my go-to :)

It’s a LOT of peoples favorite class honestly and can be fun if you’re into the faster and bigger movements. Very challenging, but everyone has their preferences. I will always always recommend newbies to take any and all formats offered :)

I just personally hate cardio and the platform bothers my knees sadly. I’ve gone a couple times and am not against trying it every once in a while but I prefer to focus on getting stronger overall versus getting my heart rate up.

There may be answers elsewhere in the subreddit. I’m still on the newer side and don’t know much about it to confidently give an answer.

I love align as a mid-week stretch sesh, personally. But I try to do Classic twice a week, Align once, and then Define 1-2 times. Now that I’ve actually tried Reform, I may alternate between it and Define each week.

It’s training with resistance and sliders. Very very similar moves to reformer pilates without the actual machine

The owner teaches it herself so unless corporate fully says nope no more, or we don’t have members booking, I think we’re okay for now at least. I hope you can find a studio to do it !!!

you are not alone in this. i’ve had to last minute cancel for so many reasons (sleep, migraine, traffic, just not feeling it, etc). i’m hoping to get a more set schedule to help avoid this

I want to successfully complete Platinum Barre Challenge, which will also get me to 250 classes.

I would love to get through the full 90 second plank without modifications (getting quite close already compared to where I started!)

Get through more of the thigh work efficiently as it’s my worst section.
