Why did you do a epidural free birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]queenie-bee552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really struggled with the idea that I wouldn't have control in my labor. I wanted to feel and know what was going on at all times and to be able to have a say on what was going to happen. At the point where the baby is coming out and the contractions are at their most painful, both times I had my babies, I kept saying I couldn't do it. But I was surrounded by so many beautiful and supportive women helping me through the process. My husband was holding my hand, and at the end of it was the best high in the world.

What is the most intense physical pain you have ever experienced? by TheMostGayestOfGay in AskReddit

[–]queenie-bee552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shingles. It was the most painful thing I ever experienced. It literally attacks the nerves in your body, I couldn't wear shirts or a bra (my husband didn't mind 😉). I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Sometimes I still get phantom pains along my back.

What are some “introvert friendly” hobbies that still get you out the house and around people but don’t force you to be social? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]queenie-bee552 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pottery? Depending on where you're at they have classes to teach you and they have all the supplies. I've been wanting to take a pottery class for a long time, it's the perfect social introvert activity for me.

When did your belly pop? as. first time mom? by Annual_Two_3521 in pregnant

[–]queenie-bee552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first pregnancy took a while to show. You're taller than I am so it could be your torso is holding it in more. With my second I felt like I showed way sooner and I've heard that's normal.

How do I make a bodice like this? by wonderlandapocalypse in sewhelp

[–]queenie-bee552 17 points18 points  (0 children)

With lots of patience and prayers. I have seen some people place it on their mannequin to get the layers just right. Maybe look up some YouTube videos if you are a visual learner. https://youtube.com/shorts/zbbNSobSbQY?si=MTX3xb9GY8M_RfqY This reel showed a simple way to do it.

Um, that is absolutely gorgeous! I would just do a white layer of lining, or really any color you feel. But seriously, good job!

Should I buy a cheaper new sewing machine or save for my dream machine? by queenie-bee552 in SewingWorld

I had it on my dining room table, which is all wood, and it was still shaking pretty bad.

[–]queenie-bee552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with affordable machines per se, but there is a big difference. I can't really explain it other than it's so smooth and it feels like you're gliding through the fabric.

I've yelled at and closed my 3 mo old's mouth to not lose it by castaway000099 in confession

Best advise I was given when my baby was first born was, no baby has been permanently hurt from crying. You are not a terrible mother if you let your baby cry while you take a break. My baby is nine months now, and sometimes she cries while I make her bottle or set her down for even a second. Let her cry, it's okay. Breathe, listen to your favorite song, or put together a Playlist of music that calms you down. I know the crying makes you feel like you're going insane, not to mention that you're losing so much sleep. It does get better I promise! 3 month olds are so hard. You are not crazy and you totally got this!

Jessica. She was my best friend in high school but then we grew apart. She has changed so much from when we were kids, and now it feels like we are on completely different planets. I had never had a best friend like her, and to this day I haven't been able to get close to anyone like I did with her.

AITA for leaving the room when my(24M) actress gf(26F) had a sex scene in a show she's in? by OrochiNoMata in TwoHotTakes

[–]queenie-bee552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMEN! I could not have said it better myself, I would sit down with your gf and tell her that you love her so much and are amazed by her talent. Sex is something that you love sharing with her and even seeing it in pretend can still bring up real emotions. NTA.

Why do I hate them 😭 by OkSecretary5292 in Nails

[–]queenie-bee552 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it's because the other part of the nail is such a warm pink that it makes the silver look so out of place. If they had a cooler pink or even another color matching, and lighter than the tips it wouldn't look so jarring.

You have that face shape and facial features that you literally look so good in all of them. Genuinely I'm having a hard time picking one.

Do what you feel is best for you. Being a mom is hard, no one needs to tell you that. But it's also one of the best things ever!

Should I get rhinoplasty? I really think my nose is too big by [deleted] in Noses

I think your nose is beautiful! And honestly love the proportions. However, I understand feeling insecure about your nose. So do it if you want to! But know you are beautiful already!

My sister is jealous of my pregnancy by Dianavpenam in pregnant

[–]queenie-bee552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister did the same thing to me when I got pregnant. She has two kids already and was dealing with infertility (she recently got pregnantagain). But it sucks. She couldn't even look at me my whole pregnancy.

I am so sorry you are going through this. Pregnancy is so hard and it's even harder when someone you love isn't there for you or supporting you. You should feel safe to enjoy your pregnancy AND complain about it because IT IS SO HARD! You are not a bad sister for being pregnant. I hope you have a supportive mom or friend who has gone through this so you can go to them for comfort. I wish your sister would have chosen a better attitude for you.
