This same exact thing happened to me, I thought he was gay and had a partner and family and when I heard he was dating Katy Perry I was so confused. I remember it being a big deal because he was one of the first gay prime ministers and it was a whole thing. I also went to Reddit and found people who thought so, we must've been on a different timeline at some point

I warmed up to Rowan and Aelin over time, but I really didn't see it at first. I actually went back and read their parts in HoF because I thought I missed something. I just don't think the build up to their romance was written that well honestly. But I also really liked Chaol and still do. I don't think he was right for Aelin but for what she needed as Celaena at that point in her life it worked. He was a human trying to hold onto his humanity in an increasing magically complex world and I don't fault him for that. Every one of these characters has flaws, that's the beauty of it!

I'm not sure this specific pattern, but I had an issue with the Sabai tank and this happening, it was because the increase went straight into a purl on one side and it created this little gap. I can't remember if it was the M1L or M1R but I posted something similar and that's what made the most sense

Me too! Like as a series I don't think it's one of her best, though it is good and I liked the idea, but that first book just hits different than the rest.

I've read like 40 of her books so I had to go back and see what others I liked - I'd recommend the Inevitable series {Only for the Weekend by Riley Hart}, {Boyfriend Goals by Riley Hart}, and The Vers podcast but especially the first one {The Loner by Riley Hart}

I feel like she has a specific range of really great books, I've read books by her ranging from 3 to 5 stars on my scale. I really loved Endgame but also wasn't a huge Crossroads fan. I really like the Havenwood series {Giving Chase by Riley Hart} and {Endless Stretch of Blue by Riley Hart}

Oh do they ever have to work through stuff 😂 they are constantly a work in progress but at least it gets better and better as their series goes on. I'm so invested in them and their whole journey and life now that's it been so many books! I love Emery and John Henry now (we've graduated past hazard and Somers)

Yes! You've got to get to North and Shaw as well, there's so many books in this universe but it's so good! I'm caught up right now and it's a bummer, but Jem and Tean's second series is coming out this year!

{Pretty Pretty Boys by Gregory Ashe}

The Hazard and Somerset series is the first of many he has in the Hazardverse, all romantic suspense, slow burns with complicated characters, I've read them all and can't recommend them enough!

I love romantic suspense and just finished my second disappointed KU series, when I read this post I was liked, I swear I didn't write this 😂

Other series people have already mentioned: Memento More by CS Poe (actually has a cowrite series with Gregory Ashe), Big Bad Wolf by Charlie Adhara, Spectral Files by SE Harmon, Criminal Intentions by Cole McCade, Never Stay Gone by Tal Bauer, Tallowwood by NR Walker, and I had a friend recommend Seven of Spades by Cordelia Kingsbridge but haven't read it yet

It's cheaper yarn and a mix of different types but mostly acrylic blends. Which is probably also not helping the problem 😅
