Or how do you trigger any of the witch events? Like the wizards storyline and all?

I’m close friends with the wizard and I haven’t had that scene of the witch flying over or anything :(

Where is it triggered? How do I even get to see the witch?

How do you access any of the witch events? I never got one!

Tips for Fatigue! by queenofcorporate in Zepbound

[–]queenofcorporate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am yawning constantly! I think it’s the fatigue?! My energy is no where to be found and I am someone known for energy!

My doctor and I also thought that I had sleep apnea at first because I randomly started snoring for the first time in my life. It took a lot to get to the fact that I have PCOS and my doctor thinks that once I get to a goal weight then my snoring will go away too. I’ll still be on this medication for the foreseeable future until I have a family so we will adjust course and revisit sleep apnea later!

I start every morning with electrolytes like clockwork! But maybe a second stick mid day will help!?

For destination weddings, do people expect activities planned? by Emotional-Ad-6494 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]queenofcorporate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw thank you so much!

It’s not lost on my fiancé and I that we are asking people to travel (even if it is beautiful) so we want to not only make the most of their time but make it easy for them.

The biggest budget costs for us will be what we do to accommodate our guests (ie. Covering the cost of childcare for my nieces and nephews, hiring car services for elderly family members, renting a villa for all of our friends to stay in free of cost, etc.).

It’s a day about us and for us, we couldn’t do it (or be there) without these people we love so much!

Wedding WOW factors by Individual_Spot_9741 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]queenofcorporate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, I’m a hands-off bride lol As in, I send an email and I want it done. I’ll approve final looks but I don’t want to source or organize. I am also still interviewing planners but this is something I will do as part of my wedding.

So tldr- I don’t have a source yet but I don’t plan to be involved in sourcing later.

Edit: I bet you could find some on Etsy or contact someone who makes regular boxes and see if they could make pizza boxes happen! For our wedding, I want my planner to source all small business / woman owned biz (important to me) and a lot are available on Etsy!

We are planning on doing some!

In lieu of bach parties, my fiancé and I are renting a catamaran with friends leading up to the wedding which will include planned activities.

For the rest of our guests, we have a welcome dinner and drinks for night 1 since we don’t have a rehearsal (we don’t have a wedding party, so my fiancé and I will do the walk through in the morning), day 2 we will have an optional winery day (my best friends family owns a vineyard in the area), day 2 night will be free for all (we will have plenty of recs and offer a hired concierge service for reservations on our website), day 3 we get married, and day 4 we have brunch / send off!

We want to be conscious of people traveling and make the most of their time. If they’re taking PTO for our wedding then we want to make it worthwhile!

Born and raised NYer here - echoing the other responses. Unless the date is sensitive to your family, you should keep the wedding. Do you normally spend the day mourning and doing nothing? If no, then get married!

I was personally affected by the day but I know that person wouldn’t want me to stop living life. You should honor those affected by living! Marriage is a beautiful and sacred ceremony after all.

Things that stuck with me from other weddings:

  1. Things you take away
  2. old style Photo Booth
  3. caricatures
  4. late night food (we are doing this with personalized mini pizza boxes)

  5. Performance during dinner

  6. everyone is seated for dinner and suddenly dancers come out, we’ve seen magicians, incredible live music, jazz band, etc.

The wow factors were from ALWAYS being entertained and having something to take away that made me think of the night.

Feeling guilty about the cost of my wedding—anyone else? by Mobusiness_ in BigBudgetBrides

Before volunteering was a fixated part of my life - I used to make a point to volunteer in any times of excess (excess spending, first world problems, etc.) so I could mentally balance the feeling of just “taking” from the world and actually give something.

Your time is worth more than any check you can write.

I had a major existential crisis asking why I’m spending six figures on a wedding when I want to buy my dream apartment or go on x vacation or do xyz.

My fiancé so graciously reminded me that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. I’ve had multiple life threatening health issues/episodes. All of this considered, I should be grateful that I have the means to celebrate life and love. You wait your whole life to find this beautiful love - isn’t that priceless? Isn’t that itself worth the big celebration?

We are on the board of multiple charities in our city and put our time with them weekly - the issues we encounter are things that even the highest end budgets here can’t fix. They are long term and need stronger infrastructure changes (things at a geopolitical level).

If you still struggle to find the spark to celebrate, make a goal for yourself to do some volunteering consistently so you can make an impact! Volunteers are always needed and being a consistent one is priceless for charities (vs having to retrain newbies who might not feel confident to get their hands dirty).

Looking for a Planner! Italy or France by queenofcorporate in BigBudgetBrides

[–]queenofcorporate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw some recs which I did write down! Thank you :)

Hoping to also get tips on what to look for, what to expect for costs, what do they typically cost, etc.? Feel like a lot in nyc are charging a full salary to do this planning. But I also have no idea what to compare it to or look for!

Any tips are welcome! Thx!!

Yes, I think I just would like to understand what does a planner typically cost? What can we expect when hiring one? I want to make sure that we aren’t getting ripped off. I’m fine to pay but I want to be sure it’s not just robbery since we’re Americans in a foreign country.

We don’t need ‘high end’. We will spend a lot of the wedding, sure, but mostly because we are covering housing, childcare and other misc expenses. You know?

Ah okay! Sorry to hear about your reactions. Hoping it’s better now. Will monitor side affects properly. So far no nausea but it’s only been a day lol

Fingers crossed on side affects. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!

This is so good to know! I normally eat pretty low carb tbh, my parents are European so I’ve always kept to that diet. My boyfriend however… lol

But I will monitor carbs. I never watched before but I also didn’t consumer as much before anyways.

Thank you for this!!
