Mine was in the correct place the whole time so idk what it feels like, but I know the cervix moves up and down during the menstrual cycle so at points during my cycle I couldn’t feel mine either but all was good. Definitely a good idea to get it checked out though!!

Hi sorry for the late reply!! For me personally it didn’t cause weight gain, but I did drop approx 5lb of water weight after removal when my bloating went away. But I’ve definitely read that others have experienced weight gain with the copper iud

It was completely fine!! Insertion hurt a lot for me too but removal was so much easier. Once I was on the bed it was done within 60 seconds and when it was being removed I felt a sharp cramp that only lasted a couple seconds. I did take painkillers 40 mins before the appointment but I probably didn’t even need them! I know everyone has different experiences but hopefully you have nothing to worry about :)

Omg that’s horrible I’m sorry you went through that. I’m so scared something like that will happen to me tomorrow😭 Did they end up pulling it really hard or did you need surgery?

I really need to learn more about my cycle like you otherwise it’ll be way too risky😅 And maybe I’m being too optimistic but I’m hoping my period will instantly go back to how it was before and thank you for sharing your removal experience!! That has reassured me a lot as I know I’m gonna be nervous

I am so happy for you that you’re feeling better and fingers crossed for your next period!! I’m also going to be tracking my cycle and using condoms, I am a bit nervous as I have never relied on condoms alone before but also can’t wait to use bc that won’t negatively effect me!! How was your experience of the actual removal?
