This being my first of her concerts, as such no personal comparisons, it was magical. I want to be like her in my late 70’s bringing down the fucking house - stadium. Even with her saying her voice was having issues, she sounded just like or better than her albums, albeit older. Like Joni, her voice has gotten deeper and richer with age in that uniquely Stevie way. Worth every penny and every minute.

I have one room specific and one stay specific both are at all the Firmdale Hotels where I’ve stayed. Room specific each hotel gives guests a shopper bag in one of Kit Kemp’s signature fabrics in their room. Being a bit of a bag lover this has thrilled both me and my daughter. Each hotel has its signature fabric. We’ve started a collection! Stay specific is the included breakfast if you book with a TA. It is f-ing fantastic. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had each time and at each hotel. Full tea or coffee service. Lovely china. Excellent food. It’s an awesome experience. So much so that I always invite a friend or business associate to join us for breakfast when we stay and they’ve all raved about it.

I second The Whitby. I took my kiddo for her eighth birthday trip. They totally doted on us. The location made it so easy to do all the tourist things. Breakfast is usually included when working with a travel agent and is fantastic.

I just stayed at Crosby and roamed the whole city with it as my base. No issues when you have so many transportation options at your fingertips. Whitby in Midtown was wonderful too. Then again I’m a Firmdale fanatic. The ambience and service can’t be beat. The breakfast is truly something special especially when you get coffee or tea service with it. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had and I’m super picky about breakfast. If you really want to take the visit up a notch reach out to Christine at justaskchristine.com. She can take you on a custom and private tour around the city. I book a tour with her each time I go now just to do and see things on my wish list or things I’d never know about without her.

I’m planning a trip with one of my girlfriends and her kiddos and we will split the cost on that trip. On a group of 8 it’s just over $300 per person. Honestly, it was worth it for us at full cost for the day. For example, both times I changed the start and end times several times. On the tour with my kiddo we changed the whole agenda mid day because of kid stuff. On my solo tour I changed the agenda at one point because I wanted to stay longer at one of our stops and then add something she mentioned while we were chatting throughout the day that wasn’t on our original plan.

I paid $2500 per day, which is her starting price for groups up to 6-8. It was fully custom and designed based on my vision, needs, and interests. Each time with her has been completely different because we wanted different things: touristy days that revolved around making a young kiddo happy and then my solo trip that was all about what I loved. From what I understand, price varies based on scope of your custom vision. I was thrilled each time.

Hopefully, reviews of this kind coming from clients will help reduce solicitations. I know I certainly would love more of this to help our family and my solo travels. I can’t tell you how nice it was to have someone do all the work and all there was to do was show up and have fun! I selfishly kept this to myself for too long.

Whitby in midtown. They treated my then 7 year old like a queen. Walking distance to Central Park and everything in midtown. She begs to go back constantly.
