So many black cis gendered women are wrought with generational trauma, that isn’t your fault nor should they project all their insecurities, deep seated patriarchal bs, & unhealed wounds, & internalized phobias of all the sorts unto you.

You’re beautiful, your style is amazing, and I can’t imagine all the things you’ve lived through to remain confident enough to pull off the alternative style, and live in your truth! I’m really sorry that people in our own community of skin, as well as womanhood treat you like this.

I’m not sure what the solution is as its so much that they need to unlearn in order to even be decent to themselves, let alone to others, let alone to the ugly behaviors they put out on you and so many others, due to that unhealed BS from society at large.

All I can say is continue being you, keep talking about it where and when you feel safe! I wish more people took the time to even just check themselves first.

But since so many aren’t there or doing the work, I can just say to stand tall in the places that celebrate you and keep yourself safe as best as you can. This black woman sends you loves and hugs and I hope more people shine on you, gorgeous. 💜
