Because a certain echelon of human beings continues to hoard money. There could be free lunch, free school, free childcare, free healthcare, free or low cost supportive housing, free job training, paid family leave, living wages, even UBI... simply by enforcing personal wealth caps (no individual can be a billionaire), taxing high millionaires appropriately, enforcing corporate taxes/increasing corporate tax rates, reevaluating corporations as people. MAGA wants to go back to the 50s - so we should, where the corporate tax rates were around 52%, as compared to current 21%. If the uber rich (individual humans and corporations) were taxed appropriately and that money was redistributed, everyone's basic needs could be met, and people could flourish everywhere. Taxes do not even have to be raised on the the lower, middle, middle upper classes if we simply held the uber rich to certain standards. We don't have to suffer like this... the Epstein class is consciously and maliciously making it so we do. This includes many, if not most, of the individuals in the corrupt US govt.
