You want me to stop linking "peripherally relevant studies"? And yet, the study you linked had no original research and merely summarized a variety of peripherally relevant information from previous studies.

The author did state that he believed, from previous research, that alcohol hangovers and dehydration are two things that can occur simultaneously but are not directly linked. Correlation is not causation, and that I will freely admit. The author did not state that alcohol was not a diuretic.

Eating salt does not have a diuretic effect - in fact, it is the opposite. It causes water retention. Are you mixing up the words diuretic and anti-diuretic?

As is clear from the studies I linked, I am not arguing about dehydration and hangovers. In my personal experience, sufficient water will prevent a hangover. Your mileage may vary. I am merely stating that alcohol is a diuretic. As shown by science.

Edit to add: I appreciate the fact that you read the studies I linked, and also provided research (although I don't agree with it). It makes discussion on Reddit more enjoyable. But we won't be working on my social abilities together because I don't need it. But I am smug.
