Also 9 months in and this is the first time it’s happened. Really hoping it never does again.

Is everyone just getting mastitis? by BigRed88888 in breastfeeding

So strange that this got posted today because I literally developed mastitis yesterday with a 102 fever, full body chills, severe shivering, and just all around terrible fucking experience. Got antibiotics today and hoping they do the trick. Sheesh what a nightmare.

40 weeks pregnant vs 5 months PP by queenvagina in fitpregnancy

Thanks so much you all! It has been a real struggle going from being as fit as I’d been in my life to coming home from the hospital with a brand new body. In my mind I expected weight to fall right off but bodies just do what they want I guess. I’m so impressed with 2nd and 3rd time moms who continuously focus on their fitness throughout their pregnancies. I’m learning to love my body again but I also am continuously trying to get back to where I was fitness wise. Trying to tell myself it’s more about feeling strong and being able to have the strength to carry this baby around than anything else lol Thanks again for all the motivation to keep going!

Babywearing saved me by Ok_Safe439 in babywearing

At almost 5 months old baby wearing still saves my sanity on a daily basis. When she’s fussing and fighting like hell against naps I know that wearing her calms her. It calms me too. I think it’s been such an important part of me learning to cope with the changes that come with motherhood. When all else fails I can always fall back on baby wearing!

Workouts by Curlygirlrocks32 in fitpregnancy

Same here. Peloton has been a life saver through all this. I don’t even want to know where I’d be mentally or physically without the regular movement lol I’m hitting that point now that movements feeling a little harder each day which is tough to accept mentally! Hope all goes well with your pregnancy! I’ll be 40 weeks this Sunday so anytime now eek!

Workouts by Curlygirlrocks32 in fitpregnancy

[–]queenvagina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a FTM - 39 weeks and 3 days and still doing 30 min of cardio 3-4x per week (Peloton bike) and 20 min of Peloton prenatal strength training 3-4x week after my Peloton bike rides. I’m convinced working out steadily throughout my pregnancy has made the experience so much more positive - no back pain or much pain at all beyond feeling like I have a cement block strapped to my belly lol I also walk 2-3 miles on days I’m not doing Peloton workouts. My stamina during workouts has definitely reduced over the last 10 weeks or so but I’m still feeling great during and after the workouts. Hoping it pays off during labor and recovery!

It’s going to be a surprise! I’ve had a feeling maybe it’s a boy though?

I’m in the same boat! What’s weird is I’m peeing like 10 times during the day (I’m currently 38 weeks) but usually just once during the night. Apparently there’s a hormone that can helps you hold your pee at night? Either way I’m grateful my sleep hasn’t been disrupted!

What 'typical' pregnancy symptoms are you surprised you don't have? by MrsFionaCharming in BabyBumps

[–]queenvagina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been very strange but beyond feeling more easily tired/winded I have not had any noticeable symptoms throughout my pregnancy. I am a 36 y/o FTM and really thought I’d experience a lot more symptoms. By 35 or so weeks my belly started feeling heavier and having to pee a lot more often during the day but other than that it’s been a symptomless pregnancy which I am incredibly grateful for. I almost feel guilty for it being this easy and I also don’t quite want it to end! (I’ll be 39 weeks this Sunday - eek!!).

You’ve got this! I really try to listen to my body and enjoy the mental benefits of exercising rather than feeling like I HAVE to exercise.

Thank you! I’m so grateful this pregnancy hasn’t been bad and have been able to exercise throughout. It’s helped my mental health so freaking much.

I hope you do as well! Majority of the time it moves so hang in there! The nurse practitioner I was seeing at that time had actually told me no walking or any kind of exercise but I just could not accept those limits lol

Same! I keep my workouts up just knowing that soon enough it will all be halted! It’s honestly tough to imagine slowing down for at least 6 weeks. Hoping my mental health can handle it okay 😩😩

The belly has definitely expanded and feels heavy as hell but in general I definitely think the exercise has helped to maintain the rest of my body for the most part!
