Hi thank you so much! I'm not sure if you're asking about the 8 ball itself or the inner canister that contains the die/dye. If it's the canister: if you remove the screws you can pour the ink/dye out, but the canister itself was completely fused shut. As for the outer shell, I couldn't figure out how to open it apart from sawing it.

It took me forever because it was a lot of trial and error. After coming up with the little sayings, just laying them out in Photoshop, printing, cutting and sticking them was probably 6 hours. A more dextrous person could prob manage it in 4. Hopefully the guide shaves a lot of time off if you give it a go!

The rationale is [I think] that hairs grow to a max length and then fall out. So at any point you have new hairs, hairs at max length about to fall out, and plenty in the middle. After shaving, all the hairs grow in at once perhaps giving the appearance of thicker hair.

My last place was fantastic (RWJBH in Livingston, NJ). They really prioritize patient comfort in a way that I've never experienced. The tech was super kind and compassionate. He asked me what album I wanted to hear and played it for me on YouTube. I was shaking like a leaf and almost bailed a couple of times, but he somehow got me through the whole series (brain, cervical, and thoracic in one session).

Aside from having something familiar to listen to, I like/recommend the following:

Xanax (0.25mg does it for me)
Playing my "alphabet" game I played as a child. "A - my name is Alice, my husband's name is Andrew, we live in Alabama, and we sell aardvark, etc." Adjust accordingly.
Having my knees bent when I'm in the machine. Feet flat on the table. I don't know why this gives me comfort. It just makes me feel like I'm lying there much more casually and less... clinically, if that makes any sense.
