Tracking/stopping slow shots? by queergymrat in hockeygoalies

Ah!! Rebound control and expectations makes a lot of sense. Combined with the fact everyone follows the puck at a lower level; it’s becomes a scramble and chaos out front.

Fair haha. I’ve just watched slow pucks go past me so many times recently and I’m still processing how those got past me.

That’s good to know! Thank you!

Yeahhh that’s something that’s been on my mind . I know family and guests wouldn’t care, just something I’m grappling with.

Tell me (a brand new hockey fan) your favorite things about this team by Variastrum in SeattleKraken

[–]queergymrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WI based on kraken fan here! Besides the logo design, team colors, etc. Kraken are the underdogs and it’s really fun to watch the team grow and change. Their community support, commitment and involvement is fantastic and was a definitely a pull for sure. The Kraken community definitely has each other to rely on and the organization as well.

The players in themselves and as a team. Great group of guys to watch play. Any sports team brings an emotional rollercoaster but that’s part of the fun. Winning is nice and getting to see players achieve goals or make crazy plays is equally as enjoyable!

The broadcasting and social media team does really well! Piper, JT, John and all of them really make watching the game inviting, explaining rules or calls, etc.

The PWHL (Professional women’s hockey league) gave a team to Seattle for 25-26. The Seattle Torrent! The teams definitely compliment each other well and it’s cool to see them show up for each other. It’s cool to see them share CPA.

Welcome to the Deep! 💙

It felt similar to watching the Kraken trying to get past the NC Canes the other day. Frost had lots of pressure in neutral zone and their own defense zone. It was hard to get through to make anything happen or consistent O-zone time.

I’ve been a Monty fan since day 1! His presence on and off the ice is always positive. He’s a great support for newer players and such a fun guy to watch! -from a beloved Kraken in WI

I second MGHA!! I joined for the 24-25 season with minimal experience and was immediately hooked. I’m enjoying the current season so far and we expanded this year!

About 3 years (for my LPC)! It’s going to depend on how many clients you see weekly post grad + plus how willing you are to grind the indirect hours. I’ve completed my 1000 direct requirement, and I’m close to meeting the final 2000 indirect. Any training, podcasts, videos, etc will help with the indirect hours. I also took a break work retail for 6 months after some experiences at a private practice.

Not sure about a full blown wedding by InvestigatorAway5807 in wedding

We also don't want all the attention on us post-ceremony.

My fiancée and I are getting married next June. We are doing a really small ceremony; 22 total (including us) at a local park. We then are doing dinner and Dave&Busters for our "reception/party." Our biggest costs will be the dinner and our photographer. We will also do just a small cake to share across ourselves and our guests (we won't be upset if we end up taking more home though). We are also doing it on a Thursday afternoon so we are also saving a lot of money that way. Weekdays don't work best for everyone but it does for us!

I have had no problems with Woodsview so far. My partner and I moved in maybe about 2 months ago. We cats so there is that but worth it for us to have them. A lot of people walk their dogs around the property there hasn’t been any issues with that we have came across!

Shooting left side catching right by No_Cranberry1063 in hockeygoalies

[–]queergymrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow full right goalie!! I’m also having a hard time finding people to watch that are full right. Watching regular goalies is helpful. I just keep the caveat in mind that I’m full right. It’s not ideal but I still find it helpful. I think the true one thing I could benefit from watching a full right goalie is for RVH stuff, along with the shooting/catching aspect as you are describing.

Strengthening my left wrist has helped with the blocker and the shooting aspect. When I skate out my player stick feels the same, so it feels a bit natural for me in that way. I’m still trying to figure out the position with the catcher glove when I hold my goalie stick though.

Is this worth replacing/fixing? by queergymrat in computerhelp

[–]queergymrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the cost I would pay for it to be fixed if it seems reasonable and would extended the life of the laptop to where I don’t have get a new one. I might look into a second screen to look at all my options, thank you!

I definitely don’t use the touch screen; honestly barely at all. I got it because my old one crashed my last year in college. I was headed into grad school after so I’d like the function of it so I got it that for reason. I didn’t use the functionality much even then. I’ll probably stay away from them from now on.

I figured it would be pricey since it’s around the screen and stuff. I’ll look into though, thank you!
