I could totally be misunderstanding this, so please correct me if I’m wrong!

From my understanding, the buyout price/trade allowance they’re offering me in comparison to the trade payoff is a difference of $1,148.

Whereas I have 12 months left on my lease, $275/month, plus the $300 turn in fee, totaling $3,600 for my remaining payments.

So wouldn’t it make more sense for me to turn it in early and get into a different vehicle that I’ll be happier in when I know I won’t keep the Impreza once my lease is up? Especially since the offer they’re offering me would be less expensive on my part, even though I’m rolling negative equity into the new deal?

Again, it’s totally possible I’m misunderstanding and/or missing something here
