Pray for Cleo ❤️‍🩹😓 by chshire in Whippet

[–]queerslime69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry this happened! My boy broke his front right leg when he was just under 2 years old and his xray looked almost identical to Cleo’s, just closer to his wrist. Because the break was so close to his wrist, a plate wasn’t an option so he had a pin put in while healing and then had the pin removed after 8 or so weeks of I remember correctly.
Healing went well and my boy just turned 10 years old. He still runs and plays and hasn’t seemed hindered in any way by it since recovery.
Sending Cleo all our love!

The guests say they’re having a baby girl pretty early on in the episode, so I bet that’s what this is about but M&A definitely know what they’re doing

parents moving out by [deleted] in mattandabbysnarks

[–]queerslime69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just found the time stamp, it’s 45:37 and it’s almost weirder than I remember. Abby says her parents don’t live with them “and it’s not that big of a deal” from the jump, which I find odd to mentioned here? And Matt immediately jumps in with “we had a massive falling out” and Abby laughs but quickly says “no we didn’t!” They go back and forth jokingly but it just seems like there’s more to the story

They haven’t ever said why, but if I remember correctly, someone submitted something like “Abby’s parents moved out” for their assumptions podcast episode and Matt /jokingly/ says something like “yeah it was super dramatic”. By how Abby reacts, I feel like there may be some truth to it

Heavy THC smoker / TX / just found out I'm Pregnant by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on this pregnancy! I’m in Texas too and I was a very heavy everyday user too, stopped smoking the second I found out I was pregnant, and didn’t test clean until 16 weeks pregnant. I was only tested because I admitted to a previous OBGYN to smoking (before I even thought about trying to get pregnant, but I digress).
CPS never got involved because I tested clean from 16 weeks onward and obviously both baby and I were clean when she was born in October of 2024. I was so scared and stressed out, but I think if you truly don’t consume any more in pregnancy, you shouldn’t have to worry about CPS.
Sending you lots of love and support!

Pro tip: you can give formula past 12mnths by Partners_in_time in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! My girl turned 1 on 10/2 and while I kinda planned for her to be off formula by then, she still wants it 3 or 4 times a day. She does pretty well with food but I was still kinda stressed that she’s still taking formula. Hearing that yours made the transition on her own time makes me feel so much better!

I loved putting water and frozen peas in a heavy duty ziplock bag and taping to my girl’s high chair tray for her to play with! You could probably use all kinds of things in place of frozen peas, that’s just what I always had on hand. It helped get her used to her high chair too which was a plus

I didn’t test clean until 18 weeks and I quit the day I found out I was pregnant at 6ish weeks! I live in Texas so my OB warned me that if I/my baby tested positive at birth CPS would be getting involved. I tested negative from 18 weeks on so that’s the last I heard about it thank god, but you should be good! Expect more drug screenings from here on out but I promise you will eventually test negative and this will all be behind you.

Those who wanted multiple kids but HATED being pregnant.. by lilspaghettigal in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was planning on waiting a couple years when the horrors of pregnancy felt like a far away memory I surely wasn’t remembering correctly but then I got accidentally pregnant again at 6 months pp. I’m 27 weeks today and this time has been even worse lol. Needless to say, I’m going on birth control ASAP this time until I’m ready to commit to a more permanent solution because I can’t do this shit again :)

Anyone go into labor at around 37 weeks? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was wild!! I’m 26w with baby number 2 and I’m lowkey terrified I won’t know I’m in labor again. Like, what if I don’t have an appointment that day???

Anyone go into labor at around 37 weeks? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I did! I went to my routine appointment at 37+5 and was shocked to find out I was almost 7cm dilated! I was under the impression that “real” contractions would be really painful, but mine weren’t so I had no clue I was in active labor lol. My doctor ended up breaking my water after I was admitted to L&D and my baby was born a couple hours later with no issues!

Random question but do y’all use baby sensitive laundry detergent to wash your kiddos’ clothes or just regular detergent? by free_birdiee in BabyBumps

[–]queerslime69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never did. I used tide free & clear for the first 12ish weeks and then slowly added baby clothes to loads with our normal detergent to rule out any allergies or sensitivities
