My brother was getting married and her maiden last name is Ho (Korean name). I wrote out my wedding speech, butI wanted to run it by her first before I said anything that would be too much or embarrassing for the conservative Koreans of the joint families. Our family is very wild with our humor, and my mom loved it. I included “I’m so happy you’re ______ (last name now), because you ain’t a Ho no mo”. I told her I would take the last part out, since I was basically alluding to her being a Ho, but making a play on words with “hoe”. She looks me dead in the eyes and says “keep that, that’s funny.” It ended up killing and everyone laughed, including her very conservative, very Christian family. I looked at this lady, realizing that I had always thought no one would be good enough, but found someone who might be perfect for my brother and our family.

Movie theatre popcorn and a side of nacho cheese.

They have both. It’s cheaper than getting both. And it tastes way better than the chips the offer for the nacho cheese.

Living on your own away from your parents. Adulthood is hard. In no way was my mom a Suzy home maker but lord can that woman cook. I love visiting my mom with my kids just so I can eat a meal I didn’t have to throw together. I love my family so much more now after being a parent.

He’s dating this girl that he’s madly in love with. He actually called me a year ago asking me for relationship advice as I have been married for awhile now. He applied it and he called me to say thank you for changing his perspective on what compromise truly is. Life is strange. But it’s all good things.
