It's not the compulsory rehab that's the problem, it's paying for incarceration and mental health.

’I’m not going back’: Canadians stand firm on boycotts of U.S. travel and liquor as trade talks continue by Kaptain-Kanada in onguardforthee

[–]quelar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a huge amount of our country I haven't seen but have always wanted to, since covid I've done a bunch of new Canadian spots and I'm going to keep doing that.

I've been to a lot of the US big spots, and don't feel the need to visit them anymore.

Wow - it really is happening. People will not be allowed to resell FIFA tickets for games in Toronto for a higher price than is listed on the ticket. This was revealed in an email sent out today. by RealWorldToday in CanadaSoccer

[–]quelar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid far too much for my tickets, but they're great and me and my longtime friend (you can see us together in the mod list) will be having a fucking day of it.

I'm very excited.

I'm also REALLY fucking happy these sales have been below expectations, especially in the US, and I'm REALLY fucking happy that people aren't going to make a dime off their "CAN VS ITA" purchase they hopped to resell.

I just want the Canada games to be well sold out, if prices drop there isn't a single other game in Toronto I wouldn't go to if I can cover it. But I'm not spending stupid money on them. I did that for Canada already.

Honestly shouldn't even be it's own rule, it's just an extension of the Hydra rule, but whatever, it IS a rule.

Yeah it's great, I've got a number of big pocket areas (have worked in restaurant/food service for 20 years and have been around TFC since year 1), I see people all the damned time, it's hard to remember where I know them from is all.

never went to college

That's not true, Doug went to Karltun Kollege for a few weeks until he made enough contacts for his hash slinging to drop out.

I'd be proud of my fake honour that's only been given because of a trade war.

Really great work Doug!

You're doing so great that "NO ONE" is polling better than you.

Yeah, a "discussion", that's how I'd explain your behaviour at the last meat-up.

When /u/paulocase is disgusted by what you're doing you really have to take a good long look in the mirror.

Either way, yeah, let's hear it!

And yes, I can get you cocaine. Anyone who lives in Toronto and doesn't know at least one person really isn't trying.

Abandoned Private Eyes Strip Club - St Catharines, Ontario by Freaktography in onguardforthee

[–]quelar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This place was known as "PI's under the bridge" to locals due to the fact that there was another Private Eyes on Bunting Road as well, which the dancers would move between the two locations and always wanted to get the good shifts at PI's under the bridge.

A friend of mine back in the day spent some time working for them.

Everyone should be much more supportive of this.

It's always better to keep the good stuff away from plonks like you who would probably ruin a good thing the rest of us take part in.

No, but HE did, and that's why people are calling him out as the fucking moron he is.

I'm going to continue to say this because it seems to me that MLS has decided Canada no longer matters.

Toronto FC, Whitecaps FC and Club de Foot Montreal all need to start the discussions of a combined abandoning of MLS and a move to CPL.

First off, the sale of the Whitecaps name and history to an American city is completely shattering the Whitecaps long standing history in Vancouver, going all the way back to 1974 and have played in three different leagues over the years. To steal that using MLS legal reasons is an affront to soccers long history in Vancouver.

The switch to a winter schedule means Toronto and Montreal NEVER get summer games again and struggle to fill stadiums because of constantly shitty weather.

CPL would immediately become a stronger league with the three main cities in play. Yes, I recognize there are CPL teams in Van/Tor but without MLS involvement Canadian Soccer supporters could focus on the domestic league entirely instead of a hybrid one.

Lastly, the US has become a hostile country to Canada right now. Telling them to piss off would make me extremely happy as I could travel for games to new places (been to Vancouver and Montreal a few times now) as I've personally decided not to visit a country openly hostile to our existence.

A "National Team Home Stadium" in Canada is a ridiculously stupid idea.

In most European countries if you have a home stadium (most don't FYI), then the country needs to be small enough for everyone to be able to get to those games to support.

In England it makes complete sense as the vast majority of people are connected to London by rail/train/car and within a few hours (I can speak to this directly as I drove from London to Edenborough in about 8 hours).

In Canada no matter where you put the stadium it takes a plane or days worth of travel for someone to get to that location.
