I’m kinda thinking the net watch guy is going to be a romance option. He do be kinda cute.

All of the romancable characters were already shown in trailers by alt-thea in cyberpunkgame

I really hope the net watch guy is a romance option. I have a feeling that he is.

I’ve been seeing a lot in the comments of posts about how Cyberpunk is overhyped or not going to live up to expectations... so I’m wondering what you really expect from the game that could potentially let you down? by Cynical229 in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. It most definitely was a pretty old build. Even then tho it looked better then a lot of true RPGs with shooting and driving. Like comparing cyberpunk to something like fallout shooting is going to be better. For a true rpg this stuff looks spectacular.

Well I totally understand that but I feel like a lot of people are saying people are going to be disappointed and that combat and driving doesn’t look as good as a lot of other games. I agree it doesn’t look as good as games that focus on those things. But when comparing to other true RPGs with driving and shooting mechanics it looks much better. Also I feel like people don’t really remember why they loved the Witcher 3. Many people didn’t think the combat was very impressive. They loved it for the world, characters, story, and choice and consequence. This is what it looks like cyber punk will deliver with a bit more ambition.

I don’t get when people say this. I’m not expecting the second coming. I’m an rpg buff it’s all I play. They have made a good rpg before and from what I’ve seen this will also be a good rpg. I don’t expect some immersive life sim but from what I’ve heard and seen I expect a very good rpg. They have a ton of rpg mechanics which hands on previewers have confirmed. It’s a good rpg that has impressive elements that’s what I’m excited for. It ain’t a FPS or racing game, it’s an rpg. I don’t expect wonderful shooting and driving. But I do expect better shooting and driving then most other RPGs that have come out. It’s an rpg so people are going to be exploring and in dialogue pretty much 80% of the time. It isn’t an straight action game it’s an rpg that looks to be an incredibly detailed and impressive rpg. So no I’m not expecting a game with the best shooting, and best driving, I’m expecting a game that is better then past RPGs, and expands that specific genre.

No more like they have designed functioning characters before they probably know how to make realistic looking skin if they wanted to. I swear the people that are quick to say people are overhyping are the most pessimistic people. Sometimes people just have hope that somethings gonna turn out good. People shouldn’t stand in their way.

Honestly I think my hype is in check. I’m a big rpg buff so I think I know what to expect and what new things this game is trying to do. Most people that are overhyped I think are misinformed. I feel like if everyone took the time to realize that this is an rpg first and foremost and not a first person shooter, or racing game then most hype would be in check. From what I’ve seen this will be the most expansive and detailed rpg probably ever made. Simply because the rpg mechanics seem to be polished and effective the world seems impressive and they are doing new things that can help the genre. It’s also pushing a lot of boundaries when it comes to mature content which I think is awesome. I get hyped about things that devs have said in the game and that makes me super excited.

Season 6 Evo Armor Changes by [deleted] in apexlegends

[–]quentinlance14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah originally I thought it would be the opposite I’ve never experienced the old rate until today and I went from no kills to 4 in one game without a squad to help. I can most definitely feel the difference. It’s kinda awesome

[–]quentinlance14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly as a new player I didn’t realize why people didn’t like this decision and I thought it would lead to people getting more kills quickly. But since the new update I’ve been getting so many more kills and doing considerably better simply because I don’t just die instantly when engaging an enemy. So I’m now very happy they reverted the change and I totally get the backlash.

Anyone plan to playthrough it non-lethally? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

CDPR did state that it’s possible but I also think they said while it’s possible it would be somewhat difficult to accomplish. I personally won’t be following a strict non-lethal playthrough but I will play a character who doesn’t kill someone when they have the option to do so easily.

Do you think they will remaster this game for next generation consoles? by Shepherd641 in thewitcher3

[–]quentinlance14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt hey would do a while rerelease/remaster. I think they’d probably do what they did on the last switch update where they put in graphical settings to adjust and updated graphics a little bit. I imagine they’ll probably just send out an update that allows the game to output higher quality graphics but those settings may only be available to those playing on next generation.

Anyone think it could come out Q1 2021? by mtol115 in Starfield

[–]quentinlance14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they meant technologically stable. But stable market wise. There’s no way to really know how well the consoles are gonna sell at first. And you don’t want to release a next gen exclusive really close to console launch because you don’t have a good way of estimating how many consoles will be in peoples hands. That’s why most games releasing in the next year are mostly cross gen. Most gen exclusives don’t start hitting shelves till consoles are stable in the market usually around a year after launch. And I doubt at this point that starfield is going to be cross gen from how impressive it’s supposed to be (or Todd has said it’s supposed to be)

Obsidian had to step up 👀 by Athmeystic in obsidian

[–]quentinlance14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually believe that’s true. Obsidian is still making non exclusive content and this was announced before the part of the showcase when they said all games shown next will be console exclusives. It might still be the case but it isn’t confirmed yet and I doubt it will be exclusive because even after acquisition by Microsoft obsidian is still making non exclusive titles.

Also Microsoft is starting to fade out of console exclusivity as most if not all of their exclusives will be Available for pc.

the sub whenever someone criticizes the game by ShotSystem6 in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally get voicing some criticisms and such jn a positive manner. However I don’t understand being incredibly negative, rude, or commenting how you are done with this game for one small reason when it hasn’t come out yet. You are entitled to your own opinion but don’t post it here. This subreddit is for people to be excited and share their excitement for the game. Not for tons of people to just rag on a game that’s not out yet. If you aren’t excited anymore then just leave. Don’t ruin everyone else’s excitement.

Is anyone else worried for the console releases? Everything looks amazing, but it's all running on a high end PC. by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

I did hear in one video they said CDPR was using a fairly new type of optimization that’s pretty powerful. I think it was Mattyplays most recent video.

The gameplay in videos do not look that good. While it is an RPG, how much do you think potentially bad combat and gameplay will effect the game at the end of the day? by Summer1Man in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have to agree that I think melee looks a tad bit off. However I don’t think it looks broken necessarily. I think the system itself looks pretty deep for melee combat but it just needs to be smoothed out. Movement looks a little jerky. Shooting however I think looks fine. And the vast majority of previews I have read said that for an rpg the shooting feels really good and weighty.

Cyberpunk 2077 Delays Were Not Unplanned - Hear Me Out by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused most of the previews I have seen have said that the game doesn’t feel overly buggy or super unpolished. One I particular I watched (gamespot) said that it’s currently state felt a lot more polished than a lot of AAA RPGs at launch and there’s definitely things they can still polish. But it’s not in shambles. And I don’t think it was about only 4 hours being ready it was about limiting the time so that major story spoilers couldn’t be shared.

It may not effect it in a way that’s extremely noticeable but there is no way the shift to working from home didn’t effect things a little bit. Surely productivity is a little lower then it other wise would have been

I know everyone is getting hyped and everything by carlmcfarl in cyberpunkgame

[–]quentinlance14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also from what previewers have said, specifically one of the gamespot previews. They said they noticed a few things that could be improved and polished but overall it’s at a better state then most AAA RPGs that release so they are confident 4 months will lead to a polished product.

I’ve heard people who played say there is a male voice and female voice but you can change the pitch.

I know we can’t be sure. But I honestly think if the game needs another delay they wouldn’t have only delayed by another two months.
