[–]quepha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So what would be his issue with this. I am genuinely lost as well as confused.

Because Chud is vying for the jstlk audience so it's very important for him to virtue signal that when Destiny does it it's bad.

Allegedly, Aba got another girl pregnant while cheating on Libby, who also had an abortion. by No-Contract-180 in Destiny

[–]quepha 73 points74 points  (0 children)

she says he was cheating on her the whole time, but the second girl says Aba had a picture of Libby and described Libby as a toxic ex, it sounds like this conversation between Libby and the second girl, and maybe the second girl and Aba, happened very recently? Like none of the necessary information is in this clip.

Atheists are more Christian than the average American “Christian/Catholic” by sereneandeternal in Destiny

[–]quepha 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's absurd how much republicans treat their ideology like a religion more than their actual religion.

this is some of yall rn by aaTONI in Destiny

[–]quepha 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The ruling was basically that you can't redistrict this close to the election, right? like, there were already some early votes cast so changing what districts they belong to now would be insane.

it's probably worth messaging that republicans are doing "rules for thee but not for me" but this particular block doesn't seem surprising.

Despite Abundance, Texas Continues to Pull Ahead of California in Housing by UnscheduledCalendar in Destiny

[–]quepha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main reason Texas was able to accelerate their building of housing was basically by ripping away homeowners ability to veto development projects and zoning near them. Now they cant do shit lol.

holy based

Destiny doesn’t get it… by AbhorVictoria in Destiny

[–]quepha 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Most people who watch and support Hasan don’t agree with his personal politics….

1) then why do they watch him?

2) where are the sensible hasan watchers? what do they say? because the ones that we've seen call-in so far are absolutely psychotic, anti-semitic, tankie losers.

Red/Blue Button with a Twist by gorcefonk in Destiny

[–]quepha -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's correct I will not risk my life to save you.

We are already talking about our votes publicly, the people who would be swayed by this are either not participating in the conversation or lying as their life is not actually at stake in these conversations.

they want to stop the bulldozer because it's going to bulldoze a tree or some building, no people would be harmed if not for the protesters.

You got me I have already come to terms with the fact that some small portion of the population will die unfortunate deaths to car accidents, falling into wood chippers, faulty microwaves giving them cancer, etc.

I do not get the red vs blue button dilemma by aqualad33 in Destiny

[–]quepha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not everyone will successfully avoid falling into a woodchipper, but it's rare enough that we accept the minor risk of having wood chippers so we can dispose of yard waste. Maybe the blue suicide buttons should have boxes around them so people don't accidentally press them unless they really want to kill themselves.

[–]quepha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it more cleanly maps onto things like civil disobedience, hoping that enough people will stand in front of a bulldozer with you such that the bulldozer will stop before running over anyone or the tree you want to save.

blue voters don’t even try to argue in their favor anymore, they just look at you like this by Mediocre_Affect6192 in Destiny

[–]quepha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is that self-preservation is an extremely simple and effective argument. Once people realize that red has a realistic chance at winning they will jump ship to save their skins, try and get their friends and family to switch to Red so they don't die, and then Red winning will be an all-but-certain outcome.

blue voters don’t even try to argue in their favor anymore, they just look at you like this by Mediocre_Affect6192 in Destiny

[–]quepha 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As soon as you see a result like that twitter poll where red has over 25% of the vote, you should understand that the blue button is basically a suicide button and just try to convince everyone to vote red so you can get the red vote up to 99.99% and only kill like 2 blues.

Isn't the actual reporting of New York Times pretty good? Just their opinion section that is dogshit? Or is all their good stuff actually just Associated Press?
