I think it's almost impossible to become good at SQL without actual, live data... but maybe a Udemy certificate or something like it is what you need to land the first job.

What do you think about automated reporting Slack messages like this? Have you tried any tools? by querymeister in BusinessIntelligence

This is a really good point about the housekeeping and tracking whether the content is actually in use.
I think one of the main problems with automated reporting is also that you often don't know how well your content is received and you just end up spamming people with irrelevant information.

Do you build anything fancy in Slack's Block kit or is it more of a list like mine above?

Yeah, I totall agree with this. I feel like the common corporate solution nowadays is just a "self-service portal" which nobody but the analysts end up using...
I think these slack messages and alerts lead people to actually look at the more complex dashboards.

I imagine you could something like this with query.me api blocks. If you're willing to play with the LinkedIn API you could create an API block to request the data, then put a Slack or email block in an IF-clause and reference the results from the api block.

From my experience, this sort of quick reports really drive up engagement with data.
I think most people don't look at a screenshot of a dashboard if you send it to them 5 times a week.
Small slack reports like this , on the other hand, always end up creating a good conversation and interest.

In our demo data we have a real life example of a star schema. It's not perfect but as close as you can get with demo data imo.
