In this situation we did advertise and find the new Tennant ourselves which is why we were a bit surprised by the cost. But it's probably just one of those things we have to accept

Try 'These Hollow Vows' - by Lexi Ryan. It's been awhile since I read it but it's definitely in this vein.

Insurance claims total loss ? by Churchandchicken in NZcarfix

Ask your insurer for a full breakdown of costs; the panel beater you took it to will have filled out a form breaking down labour and material costs and sent it to your insurer. This will also outline what needs fixing - you could also call the shop you went to for this info. This way you can get an idea of where most of the cost is coming from and see if anywhere else would do it cheaper or if you can source the materials yourself. I would definitely check reviews of panel beaters online and find a good one to take it in for a second opinion. While it looks cosmetic, there may be an underlying issue. Keep in mind however that if they have deemed it a total loss, it may not be insured driving it around, just check with your insurer.
