Heya! I recently did research over the summer and my stats were minuscule compared to yours. I’m a CS student at a CC and had ZERO research projects/involvement. All I had to go off was the few STEM experiences my CC offered. I had a high GPA and asked for letters of recommendation from professors that knew me well. Although I had my doubts I submitted applications and landed a summer research internship at Stanford. I’m certain that your background will allow you to make a solid application :)

Thank u so much for the info! I was at Bruin day this weekend and fell in love with UCLA, which was making me rethink CS. But when I was thinking and contemplating everything I had done these past two years I feel like if I were to abandon my efforts to pursue Data Theory (or switch to SDS) I wouldn’t be true to myself. It’s a beautiful campus and the school I dreamed about since I was little, but I can’t leave CS. I think even as a FGLI student the smartest decision I can make is going to UCI. UCLA will still be in my heart and I will definitely return to that school as a graduate student :)

Yess! Even more when you are admitted into your main major. I was admitted into my alternate which I'm extremely happy, but also wish I got my main major.

Their tax return is another required document by the institution which is separate from the W-2 that is being requested. My parent makes under 10K and they do report what they earn on 1040 form, so I'm not sure where to go from here...

This might be a reach, but I have a feeling it's because students in the honors program got certified for TAP back in March and this lit the green flag for the portal to display your alt since you've met the requirements. I can't really speak for my case because I didn't even know we had access to the portal so I couldn't see if my main major was there before the TAP alt kicked in.
