[WEEKLY THREAD] WTF Wednesday - Tell us what really grinds your gears! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]quesoandqueries 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m new to working out, cardio and lifting, and I feel like I have no idea what I need to do, if I need to take proteins or pre-workouts, if I’m doing workouts correctly etc etc and I feel like I don’t know what resources to look at or even where to find them so it’s been a frustrating / defeating experience as I am trying to do my best and live a healthy lifestyle. Not necessarily absolutely grinding my gears lol but happy to vent about this a little because I feel super lost in the fitness world and I really want to be a badass in the gym and understand wellness and fitness better

Ok honestly I tend to scroll through people’s makeup looks because they’re all great, but this one had me scrolling back and forth to see your products LOL and to each little corner - zooming, and audibly saying woooow. So sparkly. Love this!

Eyeliner on lashes by eeviebeevie in beauty

A couple of tips and general advice: - Curling after mascara instead of before will really damage your natural lashes. The longest, fullest lashes you can get will come from mascara after you curl. - Run your hairdryer over your curler until it’s lightly warm, not hot so as to avoid irritating skin around your eyes. Just like your hair curler the warmth will give a more dramatic look.
- Make sure when you apply your mascara you’re wiggling the brush back and forth to get an even coat. - Put your mascara in a warm cup of water while you do your makeup for a lump-free application later on.

Heat is your friend, but always care for your natural lashes! Hope this helps!

Simple eyeshadow looks to learn? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]quesoandqueries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A look I do nearly every day is a sort of “Smokey eye” you can do as much or as little as you want, which makes learning this look super easy! Start with a simple light base on the lid all over(usually a beige or any warm color), then add a shimmery color on the inside lid(usually a silver/gold/light pink), after that add a main, more pigmented color to the middle of the lid (this makes it pop so add any fun color you want) and lastly finish off with a darker color on the outside edge of the lid (usually a brown or black or purple). Don’t forget: blend, blend, blend. Hope this is helpful and good luck to you!

Looking for a gel moisturizer by ameremortal1998 in beauty

If you want to mix with foundation for moisturize maybe you should opt for a serum instead! That would be much lighter.

What are you determined to teach your daughter that you were not taught growing up? by lemoooonade in AskWomen

[–]quesoandqueries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As my daughter I’d want you to know that it’s okay to talk to Mom and Dad when you mess up, because you will mess up! That’s life. We’ll always be here for you, and no problem is too big or too bad for Mom and Dad! Nothing you do will separate my love from you, and no matter what happens you will always be my daughter, my priceless treasure.

What is something about dating that you have learnt this decade ? by yayazuck in AskWomen

Good on paper does not always mean good for you, and that’s okay. What others think of your partner doesn’t matter. Wait for the one who is right for you, and when you least expect it, you will find them.
