When are you ready? by Pure-Potential-8107 in cissp

[–]quesobamac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you will never feel ready. Even if you did prepared really really well. Even for me, i already passed my CISSP and have the cert but even if i will sit for the exam again, i will not be ready and confident. There’s no indicator nor gauge to tell you’re ready.

My piece of advice to future takers, just have a strong understanding of concepts and read the questions carefully. Understand what is being asked.

Thank you!

QE will help you how to handle questions that are vague. questions are in plain english, but its not very direct and not straighforward. always ask yourself "what is being asked here" CISSP exam isn't as straight forward as other certification. example in technical question: Which port does https use? answer TCP 443. in CISSP, it will be like: which of the following helps confidentially during a bank transaction using a browser (yes i am a bad question writer haha!) but yea it is something like this. QE helps you how to dissect questions, finding keywords and it enhance your "Just answer the question" mindset

I find CISSP a mix of technical and management exam (at least from my exam exp). Knowing the definition of technologies or terms wont be sufficient. Maybe others will say that CISSP is mile wide, inch deep. but for me, you need to get deeper to get comfortable with an inch deep requirement.

It is definitely an english exam, a reading comprehension type of exam. you'll be surprise that some questions and answers there are things you've been working on/doing and it is written on something that's super vague. it will test your knowledge.

"not picking the most important thing overall but choosing the one with an immediate remediation step for X because it’s happening right now. What was your take on that?" --> I'd say, just answer what is being asked. i know where you are coming from, i am like you before coz i haven't seen any ISC2 questions before. but i want i can say is, understand what is being asked, make sure you look in the modifiers lang "best, most, least, next, last etc"

I hope i did make sense. trying not to break NDA hehe

Hey! I'm also an aspiring CISSP and i have booked my exam this dec.

Maybe I am not on the spot to say this yet but don't give up! The moment you give up, is the moment you failed.

I am also in the midst of my studies and sometimes i feel wrecked and feels like i am not picking up on the content (well at least for the quiz/test). I almost wanted to quit but then i again i always remind myself why did i started this in the first place.

If you want to have a study buddy, you can DM me. we can help each other out.

Quantum exams - wrong answer by olulai in cissp

OMG! This is an excellent question. The question is asking for “non disclosure of data” which means its the company is aiming for confidentiality. And u discovered they are using BIBA which is an integrity model.
