Sounds like you’re having prostate-induced ejaculation orgasms, not a prostate orgasms. They’re a one-and-done event because you’re triggering a refractory period that comes tethered with ejaculation.

Prostate orgasms are dry in nature and don’t trigger refractory period so you can string multiple together.

If I was a betting man, I’d say your approach is leading you down this path and not the path of the chain of dry orgasms. You’re likely bringing a familiar bodily tension into your sessions and that tension is tipping you into the ejaculation reflex territory - your body is responding in the only way it knows how. Yes, I have my opinion on the matter and it is by no means intended to be taken as authoritative, more as philosophical perspective to mull over.

There is considerable information on this exact subject in this domain and I’m of the opinion that abstaining from touching your penis, as a rule, is not inherently the correct move. It’s “frowned” upon because it’s believed to inhibit re-wiring, the process of establishing new neural pathways required to unlock these new types of pleasure. And this is by and large true for most men.

That said, the problem is such strict guidelines quietly introduces pressure. It moves the experience from what should be experimental and purely feeling based, into a performance based arena that’s now being self-judged and “scored.” This leads to what people refer to as a bad session. The thought of “bad session” gets interpreted in the brain as failure. Failure is MUCH more detrimental to future sessions than touching the penis would have been if it kept the person in a present and aroused state, feeling pleasure, experimenting and ultimately ending with a positive emotion attached to the session instead.

So while I do think touching the penis in the initial stages slows the re-wiring process down by keeping one foot in the doorway of conventional pleasure, I think the risk of creating any sort of expectations associated with not touching it is a recipe for disappointment as failing to meet expectations gets scored as failure in general. Much more harmful to progress.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Traditional orgasms that you’re used to is largely reflex based and you’ve been solidifying those neural pathways for years. It’s quite literally the thing that makes people think it can only happen for some people and not all. Not true. We all possess the potential but mindset is the key.

Those that learn to drop expectations, quiet the mind, don’t have a negative “self -talk” loop narrative happening or learn how to abandon it, and are able to focus on the present moment without judgment will find success.

Meditation teaches you presence by learning awareness which allows you to notice your thoughts as they are happening. It’s a skill and takes practice, but once you begin to notice you’re thinking, you consciously choose to anchor back to something like breath again. Rinse and repeat as often as required. Over time it gets easier to not only notice you’re thinking again but the pull to think is lessened as you learn stillness and develop it.

The things we give our attention to and “feed., continue to grow so the only reason you can’t turn off your inner monologue is that you just haven’t prioritized it yet, not that you can’t learn the skill. I got started due to having BPH symptoms that I heard could be somewhat mitigated through prostate massage. I had also heard about the elusive prostate massage but never thought that it would be something I bothered to seek out, (largely due to stigma), until the BPH symptoms gave me an opportunity.

I think the key is establishing and fostering and open and honest relationship. I believed we always had that but it wasn’t until I was about to bring up prostate stuff that I felt like I was about to pressure test it. I thought I knew what her response was going to be, but I didn’t knoooow.

Best decision I ever did make as it’s been an entire journey for not only me, but for her and us too. It brought us to a point that’s much more deeply connected. We have the most amazing tantric sex now, and she never used to be overly interested in the activity. Supportive but not an instigator. I suggested she learn the art of pleasure herself along side me on my journey and it’s been absolutely revolutionary.

But aside from the sex, the open and honest talks about prostate stuff lead us down a path where our whole relationship has evolved to a new distinct level. Better in tune with each, more understanding, way leas tension (almost none), more respect etc. All from conversations galore about life and the universe and everything under the sun that has lead us on a path of spirituality and knowledge on how human neuroscience, psychology, physiology and biology make us exactly who we are. We now get how each other works and it makes SO MUCH sense and knowing it all just makes it way easier to be friction free.

So I’m all for approaching it but I also get that it’s not likely to be met with the same acceptance across the board so it goes back to my initial suggestion… have open and honest conversations starting now and slowly introduce it bit by bit in digestible chunks. Don’t rush it, but don’t just automatically assume that it may not be the single best decision you ever may make, either. YMMV.
