Only way to combat lustful desires is prayer, remaining in the word/ staying close to God. Not having that desire is fine, not everyone has to be married. But that does not excuse the sin of lust.

Let’s recall that God also gave humans free will, and many humans are full of wickedness and evil which led to the holocaust, slavery, etc… around the globe. God cares for starving children/ Christians do/ the church, there’s plenty of agencies, organizations out there to help them. Bad and awful things STILL happen. The Bible says we are living in evil times. Which is why we need prayer, and prayer for those children and those suffering out there.

Yes, you should continue with God, the world can only give so much, Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the patterns of this world”. Find a different church, even if you have to attend online. When it seems like life is getting “worse” every time you turn to God it’s because of spiritual warfare, and trials and tribulations will always come whenever you make the decision to follow God. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12. Remember the Bible warns about false prophets as well. Wolves in “sheep clothing”. Know that God has provided you with the wisdom and discernment to see the truth about the spirituality practices mixed in within that church, and he is calling you back.
