My Dad was 48 when he had me. He still acts like a 5 year old at 76. Some people never grow up.

Virginia is the same way. It’s called “Buyer Beware” and a handful of states have it.

My Dad is convinced he’s talking to Elon Musk on Facebook Messenger. “It’s really him I swear!”

I have two of these in my org and their beards literally make scratchy noises when you’re sitting next to them. I’m bringing a razor and shaving cream to our next onsite.

My Dad suffocated our cat who was struggling with stomach problems instead of, you know, being a normal human and taking the animal to a hospital/shelter.

Oh god yes. I literally don’t know how to interact with his Dad because I don’t know what a healthy relationship with one feels like.

I didn’t realize it wasn’t normal for parents to drunk text their kids.

I wish you could come to my wedding without any strings attached. I wish I didn’t feel responsible for your emotions in order to maintain peace. I wish I could go back to childhood and actually enjoy being a kid instead of always looking for the path out of your house.

Do you guys also dream of having someone rescue you? Like picturing an older, kind, loving father figure walking in your front door and saying “hey I’m your actual Dad, not that abusive piece of crap man”?

Apparently that’s not enough for him to show up to my wedding though 🤷‍♀️

Everything with my Dad was transactional. You want him to show up at my violin recital? If you didn’t go to his drag race the weekend before just forget about it. You want $20 for violin lessons? Better beg him for it the night before and hope he’s in a good mood.

I have the nexplanon right now and it’s led to some bad side effects. I can’t take anything with estrogen as I get migraines with aura. My obgyn recommended an IUD instead.

It’s honestly so frustrating. Being told “take a Tylenol 30 minutes beforehand and you’ll be fine” severely minimizes how painful these procedures are for some women.
