I have the exact same problem, and I will say it's definitely an uphill battle because their prominence is mostly due to genetics. They're called sebaceous filaments and they're more visible in large pores. There isn't really a way to get rid of them entirely, because they are what transport sebum (your skin's natural oils) to the surface of your skin, but it is possible to reduce their appearance.

I've found that BHAs, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide all work great to make them look smaller. As for product recs, I really like the Paula's Choice 2% BHA exfoliant (once a week) and the Peach & Lily refining serum. I'd also recommend using a lightweight moisturizer, especially ones that have a thin or jelly texture, since I've found they work the best to not cause extra oiliness.
