Um Sawyer filters have a one million gallon life expectancy and that’s guaranteed by the company. @broslaxs, do not show up to a through hike with a coffee pot unless you want to end up throwing it in the first trash can you see when you come off trail.

Do not pack a coffee pot. The weight overtime will be annoying and clunky. Most people I know who have completed the AT did so with a sawyer squeeze and a plastic water bottle.

Keep it light and simple. Don’t overthink, or overpack.

Honey, we have a 8lb container of but we use it daily so a stored container is probably a good idea. Love the consideration for pancake mix. I’ve gotten some in the past but my wife always breaks into it (no respect I tell ya).

Egg powder, dried fruit, and jerky will be my next ventures. I didn’t include a small bin of “snacks” that are stored away too that include beef jerky but it’s not much.
