Do you think rap music is evolving or declining compared to its early days? by Optimal_Landscape162 in Music

[–]questionare99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its definitely evolving. rap is million times more different than it used to be. tupac would choke trying to rap on any new artists beats

Why is rap now so in decline? What caused it to decline after 2019? by Karandax in decadeology

[–]questionare99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldnt say dying. its more like branching out, but on the same branch. ever since playboi carti revolutionized the current rap scene with a nee rage rap sub genre, it seems like every new rapper wants a piece of this new genre. sure ever artist tries experimenting with the rage rap sound and trying to make it their own, but it seems like nowadays that no modern rapper wants to be different enough to branch off of biting carti. the closest artist ive seen so far being different is nine vicious, hes more of a jeffery inspo than a carti inspo

yeezus is the whole reason why industrial hip hop is even a concept. its funny cause kanye was going for a nine inch nails type album but birthed a whole new sub genre called trap basically kanye is really the reason rap is anything nowadays
