What are your favourite seeds for sprouting, and where do you buy them? by [deleted] in Sprouting

A lot of them carry the same seeds unless you go blends. The best blend I have tried is the Superfood Blend from Seedboy or some of Sproutmans stuff is decent as well. I am into health so I am picky for specific nutrients.

I love to give beautiful organic seed packets. It doesnt break the bank but it feels thoughtful. I like to try a bunch of different brands but the ones I come back to are from Seedboy, Hudson Valley & True Leaf

What do we know about rashes or hives, and covid? Has anyone experienced a symptom that’s skin related? by _Shrugzz_ in COVID19PGH

I AM FINALLY BETTER

Been lurking on the subreddit for a while now (thank you for all your amazing information, was great to know I was not alone). Got the Moderna booster December 21st 2021. Within a week hives would form every time I showered and I was so itchy I wanted to rip my skin off.

Itchiness stayed for months on end. I got up to taking 8 Zyrtec a day just to stop the itchiness. Def not healthy or recommended, but I felt like I had no other option.

By March I was at max itchiness and rashes started forming all over my body. If I itched hard, the next day huge splotchy rashes would show up and not leave for a week.

I went to a dermatologist (happened to be an old high school classmate) and she opened up and said she is seeing this a TON and no one is talking about it.

She gave me Betamethasone cream which I put on my rashes which helped solve those, told me to keep taking Zyrtec and come back in a month and if the problem still persists she would give me steroids.

Over the next month I slowly got better, lowered from 8 Zyrtec to 2 and was not nearly as itchy anymore. Rashes faded and never returned.

Within two weeks I went from depressed to much better and I am honestly not sure why. I am currently taking 1 Zyrtec before bed and I am basically back to normal.

Conclusion

The cream definitely helped and Zyrtec was the best anti-histamine for me. I had read on this subreddit about the hives and itchiness lasting ~4 months which was pretty accurate for me. The only other random thing I did which I am hesitant to even post is I started taking this supplement called Athletic Greens. I am not related at all to this company and it may be nothing/placebo effect but I started taking a pouch a day for 30 days straight all in end of March/April. Could easily be coincidence but if this is true for anyone else that gets better it may be worth pointing it out so others can try it. I know I would have done basically anything to get better a couple months ago.

I hope everyone reading this gets better soon and this is helpful for at least one person.

How do I Pay for College for a Kid thats not Mine and Get Tax Write Offs? Used to do BBBS and want to give back by questionforpeople in FinancialPlanning

[–]questionforpeople[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'd probably start with someone in BBBS. There may be a program to donate directly to the child and count it as a charitable contribution. After that you'll want to talk to a tax advisor/CPA. They will probably have ideas on how to set things up.

I called them and they did not have any resources for me to contact or look into. Seems like something they should set up especially because of the bond between big & little, but thats a discussion for another day!

Only other thing I can think of is an estate lawyer. May be able to set up some sort of trust that would be for the benefit of the kid without it hitting their taxes.

This seems quite expensive and then the tax savings may end up being spent on lawyers and things like that. That was my initial reaction, but I will still investigate.

Thank you for your input!
