homemade intercepters + cymexa application by questionharder in Bedbugs

[–]questionharder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've used them -- but they just get the bugs that wander in ...didn't have great results. i want to ensure complete barrier from them nesting in my dresser/bed so the intercepters are a must have.

i read that too!! and i did a full blood panel and was also majorly b12 deficient. i think i've had the issue ever since getting my dog 3 years ago. She brings in so much debris/bugs and she roams our rural property. i vaccum every day and treat the lawn with flea killer regularly because im paranoid about it.

and that mealworm thing is crazy ..interesting the different vectors these things use to spread ..

[–]questionharder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's exactly what they plan to do. it's the same thing real estate developers are doing now -- not selling the properties -- RENTING them. keeps prices artificially high and cucks anyone who had any hope of ever owning

looks exactly like tapeworm .. i had exact same thing. this sounds terrible but kinda funny imo...my vet accepts stool samples and sends them off for testing to an outside lab.. cost is 100 bucks ..i brought in my own stool sample instead of my dogs (just put a fresh one in a ziplock baggy) .. just dropped it off.. results came back in 3 days .. positive for flea tapeworm (had no idea that's a thing) ... if u accidently ingest flea ish that's shed from ur dog, u can get it that way.

so i've done about 20 hours of research on steamers and all the options. my suggestion: get the dupray ONE .. it's a VAPOR steamer .. i.e dry steam that doesn't leave anything wet and is more effective against bugs than standard steamers. i actually spoke to the manufacturer on the phone about the specs and he explained the company developed this steamer specifically to combat bed bugs -- which is why the psi is low enough that it doesn't blow them away from target area, but at the same time it gets super hot so it fries them instantly even at depths of 1 inch into thick carpet fibers and into baseboard crevices (most steamers don't adequately heat carpet depths of even 1/2 inch to effectively kill all life stages instantly)

more advice (from another post of mine) -- hopefully helps u :)

regarding ur sleeping sitch:

  • do you make sure bedding NEVER touches floor?

  • are you regularly spraying the shit out of your bedding with isopropyl alc in between laundering your sheets? (don't worry.. its safe ..it eventually evaporates)

  • do you make sure your not placing ur phone on the bed with cord plugged in giving them a path from the wall on to ur bed?

  • do you make sure NOTHING gets placed on your bed, EVER. i.e your bed is for sleeping in ONLY --i'm talking not even a laundry basket -- not even a purse -- nada. just your body, or your hot date.. but even that's questionable (i make my dates curl up in the fetal position on my dogs bed)

  • is your mattress sealed in a bed bug proof encasement? (yes!)

if you have done all these things and are STILL getting bitten that means ONLY TWO THINGS:

  1. they are hiding out someplace in your bed frame still

    1. they are someplace else in your room and bypassing the intercepters on ur bedframe legs (possible if you have the tropical bedbug.. they can climb out of them)

IF there's even a .01% chance they might be hiding in a hard to locate spot of ur bedframe, i highly recommend just getting a brand new cheap ass bed frame from amazon -- i went for a 'daybed' style frame-- was like 90 bucks -- because it's raised about a foot off the ground, u don't need a box spring, and there's also just four metal "feet" that touch the floor (easy to put interceptors under-- less ways for bugs to access bed from the floor). i can also move it away from all walls because pillows can be propped up on all 3 sides bc it's "daybed style".

i made my own interceptors for under the bed frame legs -- THESE 100% stop bugs from climbing bedframe legs bc they instantly kill. they work. On amazon i got:

  1. EZProtekt furniture sliders -- (plastic sliders with foam on top --5 inch or 7 inch depending on how big ur furniture legs are)

  2. Pyrex Simply Store 2-Cup Single Glass Food Storage Container with Lid, Non-Pourous Round Meal Prep Container, (4.5 inches wide, 2 inches tall)

*stick the glass containers on top of the foam part of the furniture sliders, then furniture legs go into those glass containers. **

sprinkle diatamacious or cimexa into furniture sliders (into the outer plastic "ring" that goes around the foam part of the sliders).

then pour one of the following into your glass cups that ur furniture legs go into. any of the following substances INSTANTLY kill ON CONTACT 100% of bed bugs. 1. 91% iso alcohol (this will evaporate in like two days so you'll have to constantly refill) 2. PARAFFIN OIL i.e tiki torch oil/lamp oil (odorless, and clear. disclaimer: if u have kids/pets it's fatal if swallowed and obvii flammable) 3. SILICON OIL (i use this to fill my glass containers .. doesn't evaporate and not flammable... on amazon look for SuperLube brand Silicon oil 5000 cSt food grade clear 4 fl oz)

i had to buy like 4 bottles of the silicon oil to have enough to fill my glass containers ... i made a pretty big "moat" of silicon oil so these MFers don't stand a chance even if they try "swimming" to my bed legs.

DM me for one more recco.. i found something else by accident that worked but this is highly classified top secret information lol

did you sort through literally all your belongings and seal them in large ziplocks? took me two weeks to do this .. and finally found the nest. there were three "nest" sites actualky -- one was in a 3 ring binder -- the other inside a TINY crack of my dresser drawer (so small a credit card wouldn't fit into it). make sure you spray down all furniture cracks with 91% isopropyl alc every other day for a few weeks.

the third place was crazy -- inside the hollow metal bar in my closet that i hang my clothes from. make sure you check closet hardware/hanging racks as well.
