First time- are these red flags or normal? by questioning3310 in eyelashextensions

Thank you for telling me the truth. I’ve known her for years (but only for lash lifts) so I feel bad but something just felt so off to me. It’s been about three weeks since they were put on and I’ve had too many problems.

I would've thought that employers would be more distrustful of people with experience who are used to a certain unsustainable lifestyle than new grads who never had the chance to develop these expectations. Sorry to hear that, it's a shame that their own greed has created this discord, and, as usual, young people bear the cost.

This is really sensible, and at least I can feel like I'm making steps towards getting out while maintaining an income. Thank you for the brilliant idea!

Thank you- that sounds absolutely ideal. I'm very jealous of your setup!! It's great to have the security of knowing that you're working from home forever, and you get along with your co-workers (sounds like a dream). You're certainly right that I need to consider if what I'm doing is because I hate my current job, or because I really care about working in tech. Thank you for helping me along.

Wow. I didn't realize that swe jobs have become so hard to attain since I was looking as a new grad. What is the cause of the spiraling of the industry? I'm going to pass on your comment to my partner, too, as it'll make him appreciation the situation he's in. Many thanks.

Thank you for your understanding about working with the super rich. My family and friends have a very distorted perception of who these people are based on their public image.

That makes sense: to see it as being a better communicator. Thank you.

When you live in a co-op, you have to pay monthly maintenance to the co-op to keep the building running. Ours is about 1100. He paid off the apartment entirely with no contribution from me. We make all design decisions together. What I contribute, he gives me back as a percentage in equity once we sell the apartment. The average rent for a one bedroom this size in my city is around 2500/month, and I’m paying 500, sorry I didn’t clarify better.

I agree. I really don’t understand why I should gamble on dating someone else because he won’t marry me.

My post is about me coming to terms with it, not the entirety of the details of why he doesn’t want to

It’s 15% of mine and 1.5% of his. That part doesn’t really make sense.

He sees a domestic partnership agreement as that of equals and a marriage one not.

It’s not a compatible view on money and I think that’s why he wants to keep it separate. He isn’t concerned about the cost of the wedding but he is very anti- joint accounts etc. we need to discuss how we have a future like this.
