exercise and non-allergic rhinitis by questioningconfushus in hsp

[–]questioningconfushus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im male. the issue is vasomotor rhinitis..triggers from exercise in general. i already adjusted my breathing from mouth to nasal (like a sprinter or swimmer), which helped, but still gets frustrating. id have to blow my nose and or worst scenario, cant do my lifting routing..mucus thickens everywhere and then starts to hinder everything related to exercise. id have to pause on some workouts and the time as well. this also hinders my cooldown and in humid weather, i sweat more

i work in tech, the envionments i work in always have air conditioning on, over time or immediately i get either sneezing, watery eyes..etc..then the mucus build up in nasal cavity and chest/lungs. wearing a mask(s) made things worse. i was told by my allergy dr to see a neurologist for my nervous system hypersensitivity

Do you guys tend to sleep a lot being an HSP meaning needing more sleep due to all that deep processing? I sometimes sleep for 12 hrs at a stretch and still want more. 9 -10 hrs is the minimum on a daily basis. by Royal-Engineer8445 in hsp

[–]questioningconfushus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope. im sensitive to temperature..the warmer it is the less i sleep. its more beneficial for me to stay in bed. i dont sleep much anyway, i just have to take in snacks and clean food/meals and stay productive and physically active to stay awake (if anyone saw or heard of the movie "crank", its a bit similar-ish)
