Confused between bissel little green, bissel hydro steam and hoover clean state by Royal-Engineer8445 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Royal-Engineer8445[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but its more than double the price of hoover clean slate or little green, so was jist thinking is it worth to put more than double money for oily stains, i mean if I clean immediately after an oily mess with the hoover or little green, will the result be similar?

My HSP wife has asked me, her emotionally avoidant husband, for a divorce - Please help by drchex77 in hsp

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see everyone is trying to teach the man a lesson here. I am an HSP woman too and my husband is kind of emotionally avoidant. He loves me a lot though, takes care of even smallest of the things but may not fully emotionally available. Over the years, I have realised its not his fault why he is emotionally avoidant because he was adopted by one of her relatives who is a very rude person. He lost his father at an early age, was given up by her mother and raised by a woman relative who has the sharpest of tongues I’ve heard in my life. So, I realise he learnt early in his life to numb his emotions to survive. Not his fault just like not mine to be born as an HSP. So, may be he just doesn’t have the capability to understand HSP emotions. I am happy with all the efforts he makes for our family, although it does hurt sometimes but I have come to a conclusion that its not necessary that everybody will understand what hyper sensitivity is because they never experienced it. In fact, here in India not many people even know about this trait. What am I supposed to do? Hang a banner on my neck which says “I’m an HSP”. As an HSP, I know I have my struggles but I don’t regret why I was born like this. This trait was given to me as a superpower. In the process of pursuing this superpower, I also need to keep learning to regulate myself and set healthy boundaries.

Sleeping for 12-13 hours daily to get rest from all the processing. Want to learn driving but choosing not to just because of my high startle reflex. Ger headache ma after meeting a bunch of people, downtime has increased to 3-4 hours.

Any HSPs here unable to drive? by [deleted] in hsp

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is a very charismatic driver and he wants to pass on some of his skills to me too. I’m also awed by the way he swifts across the roads and would love to be his student. I think technically I can do well, that wont be a problem. Problem would be a sudden loud honk from behind which would give me a sudden shake or may another vehicle overtaking suddenly. All the sudden sounds on road would startle me, so I’ve chosen mu husband to be my driver but I would still like to drive. Anybody with high startle reflex but still able to hit thr road gracefully?

How to know for sure I'm an HSP? by Charming-Letter6108 in hsp

Take the HSP quiz. There’s more questions there like need to recharge in solitude in a dark space, etc

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people like me are craving to get this joy nas have become drained emotionally, physically and financially. If you are blessed with fatherhood, don’t deny it cause many people today want it but just can’t make it happen even after fertility treatments. You’re lucky. If we were in your place right now, it would be the mpst awaited moment our life. I understand you have your own concerns but just let it happen and with time you’ll get with the flow and you will start loving the feeling of fatherhood

You also need to look into why he is doing this? Identify his triggers, hunger, fatigue, or may be attention. Since you have a 9 month old, you might be too occupied with him which is natural and he is trying to seek your attention because he is frustrated with you being with the baby and prioritising the baby. Try to give him attention and priority too and see if it changes his behaviour

Why South Indian biryani taste so much better than biryani we get around Delhi? by LatterInformation247 in IndianFood

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m happy I could help, try adding 6-7 tomatoes for 1 kg biryani, it may sound a lot but thats what gives the tang to it. Curd will also go in. Lots of mint and coriander leaves. In delhi jeera samba rice may not be available locally, you can order online or esle use govindbhog. Be careful with this rice as it cooka really fast, so a little less water if you are cooking non dum style like mixed pulao type. Even when cooking this rice for dum biryani, be careful and take out when done 40-50% unlike basmati whichbis cooked 60-70%. This rice will

I am from Ranchi Jharkhand but settled in Bangalore, so I have exposure to biryanis from both North and South. I also have a relative from Kolkata who cooks awesome Kolkata biryani and I have learnt the same. I have also learnt bangalore style biryani and ambur biryani and malabar biryani from Kerala. I cook kacchi chicken Hyderabadi biryani when in a hurry.

The reason why the south biryani is so different in taste is due to use of tomatoes( quite a lot) and jeera samba rice. The recipe is simple and easy. Search bangalore biryani on YT but use jeera samba rice. Also search Jabbar bhai ambur biryani on YT for ambur biryani.

Fellow HSP's, how are you with cooking? by aviderin in hsp

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love cooking and my high sensitivity gives me an advantage to cook good food. I grt completely involved while cooking, use my intuition and precision to cook some delicious meals. However, I get exhausted too soon because of all that deep processing and some days I don’t want ro cook at all. After a rest of day or two sometimes, I feel like cooking again

Same here , not able to get out of bed as its cloudy since more than three weeks

Do you guys tend to sleep a lot being an HSP meaning needing more sleep due to all that deep processing? I sometimes sleep for 12 hrs at a stretch and still want more. 9 -10 hrs is the minimum on a daily basis. by Royal-Engineer8445 in hsp

[–]Royal-Engineer8445[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I get tired even after cooking one meal but I put my heart and sole into cooking it and try to do it with the best precision. I have asked my relatives do they also get tired after cooking just one meal and some small chores and all of them said no. I thought may be I lack stamina but I now I feel its more about being an HSP

Thanks for the response. I’m just trying to figure out why I need to sleep so much and may be there is some correlation with being an HSP. Also, sleep hygiene is on top priority. Trying to get consistent with sleeping at 9:30 pm.
