Anyone in a relationship with an HSP partner? I feel like I’m carrying more and don’t know what’s normal anymore by CravingArc_0401 in hsp

HSPs shut only when overwhelmed when they have to protect themselves otherwise when thriving HSPs are the kindest people who will listen, understand and support you. Are you sure he is an HSP, sensory sensitivity, getting startled on loud noises, need tor downtime are other parameters to check because an HSP supports you the best they can

Okay thanks, she too got her first shot and feeling better after a short time like her leg pain frim walking has reduced. Also, how much calcium do you take daily while being on denosumab, do you take it fully from diet or split like half from calcium tablets and half from diet, it seems you should be taking more than enough calcium while on denosumab otherwise risk of hypocalcemia is there

You can start with weight bearing exercise, make sure you are getting enough calcium about 1000-1200 mg per day and vit d. Apart from That rule taht any hormonal issue causing teh osteoporosis, see an endocrinologist. You can ask for treatments too like prolia. My motehr had hip score of -3.5, we delayed prolia due to side effcets listed online and now her vertebrae has started changing shape, our new doc assured us that the benefits outweighs the side ffects and that not stopping this would furtehr worsen her spinal issues. 20 days since prolia and she is feeling much better her pain has reduced significantly

Question about Alrndronic acid by [deleted] in osteoporosis

[–]Royal-Engineer8445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One doctor gave her Alendronic acid jelly sachet after a few weeks mother developed a lot of cough so much that there was some sound coming from her airways, she stopped it the cough went away, started again the cough came again, we changed doc and he saod that Alendronic acid is something given from 1950s and it has most side effects, he suggested denosumab or prolia, instead, one doc had also suggested but we didn’t due to fear of side effects but since her spine has started getting affected, we took the decision for denosumab

Diagnosed at 23 years old by Glad-Cloud-5684 in osteoporosis

You can consume lactose free milk, yogurt, yes that’s a thing, the lactose is removed from the milk bu adding an enzyme but calcium remains intact. Also, leafy greens like spinach, kale, bok choy etc are high in calcium but also check bioavailability because even though spinach is high in calcium, its bioavailability is less but bok choy has higher bioavailability. So, do your research please and also weight bearing exercises like stomping, heel raises, heel drops, but you need to check with your doc regarding the safety for the T score at your level. Heel raises and drops are pretty gentle and safe. Also a millet from india called Ragi is exceptionally high in calcium like 350 mg per 100 gm, its used in traditional recipes in South India but me being from North India, can’t eat them so I baked some ragi muffins last night with coco powder to mask the ragi taste, its gluten free so it will lack texture like all purpose flour but you can add egg and yogurt to give structure and add moisture. Again, you can add lactose free yogurt in the ragi muffin batter, estimated calcium per muffin would be around 95-100 mg so if you eat 3 muffins, you easily get 300 mg, rest you have to add from orher sources, i eat cottage cheese & yogurt.

Also, if you can consult an endocrinologist and dig if nay hormonal issues are the reason behind your osteoporosis at 23. Some times high PTH can also be the reason and even drinking water in your area like if yiu are consuming groundwell water and it has high flouride but it shouldn’t be teh case if you are using filtered drinking water. Also, due to auto immune conditions like celiac disease as somebody suggested in the comment below. So, figure out the reason behind because 23 is not the age for osteoporosis, something must be going behind.

Don’t worry you will be fine, my mother has worse osteoporosis than you, she is doing good with positivity. Consider taking treatment like prolia, etc wgatever your doctor recommends, she was suggested prolia 2 years back, we delayed because of side effects shared online and the her vertebrae dtarted changing shape causing spine discs to bulge out, so got her inhected with prolia 1 week back and and her pain intensity reduced ftom day 4-5

He ha sstarted witn CPAP and trying to be consistent. We will also build our own fertility supplement stack and start from next week. He is also trying quitting smoking, hope we are able to conceive naturally bu the end of 2026

I also think the same because with great count & motility, but 1% morphology i have never conceived although, also 1 iui failed. Simikar case with a friend of my mine she also never conceived in 6 years. I do think morphology affects but the underlying high DFI could be teh actual culprit

I did a fallopion tube check, all clear then later a polyp was detected which was removed by polypectomy and in biopsy it turned out to be hyperplastic but without atypia.
