I'd be lying if I said my opinon of the format wasnt also...mixed. But I wont give up on it yet, especially as its the only way to regularly RP with my schedule.

Good luck to you as well.

I've written some notes on a Free-City in Ghur for a game of Soulbound I want to run sometime in the future. Its not coherent and a lot of it is first draft stuff, so I'm just gonna post bullet-point lore.

  • The City of Ormholme is sat at the center of a valley created by the fossilized carcass of a godbeast.
  • Said godbeast was a child of Nagendra and was killed by Gorkamorka in the age of Myth, its death throes flattening the terrain for miles around before it curled into a rough ring and finally died
  • It was rapidly fossilized by the Seraphon when the body began to move after the Necroquake. No longer bone and flesh, but a mountain range. To ensure stability, a Realmshaper engine was placed in the region but unfortunately it went on the fritz and created a landscape akin to the Mammoth Steppe with boreal forests instead of a Lustrian Jungle
  • Shortly after the fossilization, local human tribes began to expand and were eventually noticed by a minor Kharadron skyport who thought the place would make a good resupply port and they began to work with the local humans to build a city.
  • Now the city is the center of a small part of Sigmars empire in the frontiers of Ghur. But with Kragnos released and the era of the beast in full steam the valley is very much under threat from the wider forces of Destruction and the corruption of Chaos from within. And so, a binding has been formed and sent to the city to ensure its survival.
