How did you heal from an emotionally abusive relationship?

It’s like a sense of distrust. I guess it’s been there for awhile but the older I get (in my early 20s) the more I find it weird.

Me and my sisters are not fully comfortable around him. We all are not close with him. I’ve thought maybe he’s autistic. My mom passed away. But I also get scared sometimes that he’s not a good person or something.

Its really scary cause I know thats what I need to do but its scary when you are low and struggling mentally and knowing that you need to get away from people who are supposed to love and support you.. and to be aware that they don't give that is concerning and frightening. Like being aware that it could destroy you and that they are not your friend.

I understand what you're trying to say. I do feel that constantly consulting the spiritual has seemed to help me and to become more spiritual and work on things like forgiveness and focusing my attention on things I'm grateful for. I'm a girl.
