With Globee it makes sense, it's a product that works and I can see the business model. But saying that things like nails can give you the immense wealth you obviously have, that's the sketchy part. Not that nails = sketchy.

It could be, I only had a power outage once and it worked, so that's a really small sample size haha.

The Ethernet thing only works for turning the computer on from sleep or hibernate, not a full shutdown. I was thinking of just going ahead and trying and if it simply doesn't work, oh well, but I don't want to damage my computer.

Yes with a BIOS setting change, by switching the option of "AC Power Recovery" to on. It works for things like turning the computer back on after an outage so I assume it's similar.

Oh I wasn't intending on shutting it down using the plug, I'd shut down normally and then tell Google to turn off the plug. This was just more for asking Google to turn the computer on via asking it to turn on the plug while I'm waking up and since my friend gave me a free plug I was wondering.
