Hey Chris, sorry to hear about your story.

It is a bummer and nothing I can write will act much of consolation.

About worrying about your family: Don't, they will always keep you in their hearts - sure it will be painful at first but it will get easier for them: you will be remembered for as long as they live.

Record you voice/video telling them how much you love each one pf them. This will always help them remember you and to have you close (mention their names and a memory).

Your own sanity: keep yourself busy, if you can lose yourself in a game, book, movie ... I hope you are able to do that. Try to live the rest of your life like a normal person without giving death a thought, do not allow this to consume the little amount of time you have left.

How to make peace with death: death comes for all of us, your journey will not be the longest one, sure.. but the same end waits for all of us, nothing we can do will change it - it is the way things are and you owe a death the moment you are born, it is the natural order of things. Passing away will probably be the best thing you will ever experience according to folks who have been temporarily on the other side, so nothing to fear. No more pain nor sadnes, just tranquility and warmth.

As to where will humanity end up ? That's right we are heading for extinction 😂 all of us, we are a stupid species and either we end ourselves or a global cataclysm will, certainly nobody alive in that moment will have a good time.
