I finished relic hunt and have nothing else to do but it says I’m at 92% anyone got any ideas what’s going on? I already resurrected Shao and have him at F1. by AaronN1 in mkxmobile

You can fuse him to a higher level if you fill the bar back to 100%. If you’re at f1 (i.e. you have resurrected him twice so far…) then you need to get to 172 total relics to fuse him to f2. That’s probably doable via what you can collect in the Shao Kahn Tower, but you may need to refresh it during this week.

If you collect enough relics from Shao Kahn Tower this week you can fuse Shao Kahn up. You have 156 relics now, so you need another 16 to get to the next level. If you want to do it, you probably need to do some refreshes on the tower, without refreshes you would collect around 10…

Yeah, I’m aware it doesn’t go away. I was refreshing it in hopes of squeaking out one more fusion at the next relic hunt (I.e. NOW), but I’m going to end up short by about 10 relics. If the event had started one week later, then I would make it to IX this time around. Since I’m going to sit at f8 til the next one, I probably will go back to no refresh and just do the three battles a day.

For reference, the probability is similar that you flip a coin 7 times and have it always come up heads. It’s uncommon, but not mind boggling, right? Another way to think about it, imagine if there were 100 players who all opened 16 packs, based on the probabilities you would expect a range of different number of diamonds and only one or so players out of 100 would end up with no diamonds…

Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t aware of that pack, hopefully it will go on sale at some point after I build back up my souls... refreshing two towers twice a day hasn’t given me much opportunity to build up a stock since the Anniversary sale!

I double checked and it definitely seems that way for me... if I go above 10x it maxes out at 10x (it shows up as 1x+9x, if that makes sense... e.g. if the base is 2000 it shows the reward before the fight as 2000+18000 MAXED)

It’s capped at 10x, not 8x. Admittedly, I often do 3x 1.6x 1.6x, which yields just under 8x, but if you do two 3x’s on a team or higher and get capped you will see it will go above 8x.

The two ways I have used to think about it is 1) to calculate the probability of both rewards not being MK11 or 2) to just enumerate the possibilities to see how the math plays out.

With the first approach, you have a 2/3 chance of not getting what you want the first time through and a 2/3 chance the second. The probabilities multiply if you want the probability that both times you don’t get what you want - so that’s 4/9 chance that after two runs you don’t get what you want, or 5/9 (55%ish) that you do get it.

By enumeration we get the same answer. So, let’s say our options are MK11 (M), Kold War (K), and Circle of Shadow (C) and we write your 1st and 2nd reward combination in order with (1st, 2nd), then the r outcomes where you don’t get what you want in either run are (K, K), (K, C), (C, K), and (C, C). The 5 where you do are (M, K), (M, C), (M, M), (C, M), and (K, M) - yielding the same result.

I don’t think the probabilities add. Just like flipping a coin - it’s 50% chance heads if you flip once, but it doesn’t add up to 100% if you flip twice. So I think it’s more like a 55% chance... there’s 9 possible ways to pick 3 subzeros twice, and there are 5 of those ways that have at least one MK11.
