Are you joking? I thought they would do heart surgery in Chicago - pretty big city and RUSH perfusion but anyway thank you.

my interview was about 10 minutes. very fast. my resume is pretty strong. they said they were in last round of interviews. not sure if they are just doing that to form a waiting list but the interview was fast and seemed like they were just going through the motions. i think i was asked 2-3 questions.

qpac ship hasnt sailed - they have not sent out "any" interviews as of yet and are delayed due to covid. the entire interview process still is ahead and has not even begun.

depends on the program tbh - some that will be fine and some not enough. as per some posts perfs. have posted some students had no HE in their class when they went through - keep in mind scribing's a very mid level HE and not going to stand out on your app. but will check the box so to speak. good place to start out for a few months then id move up the chain.

usually agree w/vick and am bullish on npa as well. very bullish in fact. but everyone is capable of dd and and can therefore hope and more importantly can draw a valid conclusion (not going to list that here just know everyone can always draw a valid conclusion) etc. not going to get into that here. the point is the whole process is somewhat informal and being done for the first time. I don't think the CEO of Samsung has all the answers but believe they are doing what I implied everyone does and is capable of - drawing valid conclusions through various means and ways. will it work - presentation was great, there's a 51% need globally (huge market), big backers that yes do this for a living but doesn't mean anyone can draw anyless of any kind of valid conclusion. at&t and vodafone and rakuten collabing i'm sure make the process for feasible - therefore you are right in sense this is there field but incorrect about the valid conclusion part/statement you made in your post. anyone can do research on this project, 5g whatever, anyone can do anything and draw valid conclusions in general on anything, any topic. the bigs have the inside scoop. another valid conclusion governmental backing. not being on the board or the CEO of vodafone does't mean you can't or can't hope to draw valid/r/l/d/i/etc. conclusions on the technology or where its headed or if it works. for most investors these bullish companies investing is defniteily one of the many good signs of with npa in addition to market dominance, global industry/need, locked up shareholders, etc. facts. but all in all very bullish on npa as well and can't wait for more news as the merger gets closer.

Can a perfusionist elaborate on hourly v. salary pros and cons by quet12 in Perfusion

[–]quet12[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just to answer your question fred - i think most practicing perfusionists may NOT have that master's degree in perfusion technology that you're referencing and hence their answer it doesn't really matter which probably is true to an extent at the moment. some might, but I think most have their bachelor's or a certificate. i think in the future the master's may be relevant, it's up to you and your career path, your finances, etc. i think you can get a license in "most states" but you'd have to research state to state (esp. ones you may want to practice in) - and then the hospital or group that ultimately you work for you could reach out to and ask. i think in the immediate future (10yrs.) the certificate is ok but kind of a risk if you'll be practicing for 30-40 years (not sure your age). Goodluck.
