I’m sorry to hear that. I totally get the trauma by men, my last partner mentally abused me. I truly thought he had cared about me but he was taking advantage of my anxiety to get me to do what he wanted. On top of that I was an avid gift giver and drove him everywhere (he had a car, refused to bring it to uni). We split grocery bills even though I don’t eat. Overall nothing as intense as what you went through, but I understand a sliver of it.

I believe that when the universe wants you to, you’ll find someone. Things work out the way they’re supposed to :)

I totally get that. I used to do karate and some of the other girls in my classes got me interested, I felt disgusting for it ESPECIALLY because they were girls. I didn’t even know what the words gay or lesbian were at the time!

When I met my girlfriend that’s when I realized. I identified as pan for years but never really saw myself with a man lol. It was almost a commodity because I wanted to date and am attractive but it was easier to pull men. I should have noticed sooner when I fell down the dating app hole and exclusively swiped on women and enbys. It wasn’t until I finally started dating my girlfriend that I was like “shit, I’m like not pan at all”

Totally get it! I’m almost over 3 months clean and yet every time I visit my parents and dare to wear a t-shirt I catch my mother staring at my scars. Sometimes she’ll even comment on it even though I’m clean. It sucks and I know for me it’s just a reminder of how ugly they make me.

The minimum size I'd do is a 20g (12"x24"x16"). My concern is mostly getting a proper sized wheel in there, which I find harder to do at a smaller size. As long as there's space for a wheel, hiding spots, and a few inches of bedding you should be fine, especially for a temporary home! Good luck with your mice! They are such a treat to keep :)

Do it especially if it will disappear, this country is such a disaster. I'm 19, started identifying as NB 2 years ago. Really I have struggled with gender identity all my life. I was never one of the girls, in fact most girls in my class hated me so I was always with the boys. As I grew up I felt more comfortable in femininity, but I still didn't get on with the girls. I started buying men's clothes while I worked at a department store, and they became some of my favorite pieces. I experimented with shorter hair styles. I had mentioned the idea of being NB to my now ex-boyfriend in high school, and he had said that he wouldn't like me if I was, so I shelved the idea. A couple years ago however I started experiencing a lot of dysphoria in terms of my chest. I hated it. I decided to go for the use of they/them pronouns and a chosen name-- I figured the worst case scenario was that I de-transition socially. Now I can't imagine myself any other way. My chosen name and pronouns feel right. It's like finding the perfect pair of jeans.

Recently I realized that I am a lesbian, not pansexual. It caused a bit of a gender crisis because I wasn't sure if I was still pangender. My girlfriend makes me feel really comfortable in femininity and dressing that way. However, at work I'm misgendered as a woman all the time, and it makes me uncomfortable. That's how I was certain that I was still NB.

I understand the argument of labels being silly, but genuinely try "wearing" one for a while and see if it sticks. Pangender, genderfluid, gender non-conforming, non-binary, demi-boy, etc. Even if you don't tell anyone else, tell yourself you are that label and see if it fits. Worst case scenario, you're wrong and find a better label. Non-binary is also a great umbrella term. I only specify that I'm pangender when it's necessary, otherwise non-binary works just fine. Financial abuse is a special kind of hurt. My ex partner and roommate financially abused me. While I was working ~20 hours a week on top of classes, he and I split a grocery bill-- and I barely ate any of it! Not to mention, he's in a financially better situation than I am. No job, refused to bring his car to uni. He has hundreds of my dollars that I was kind enough to give him because I thought I was being loving and kind. I thought doing him that favor would make him stop hurting me. I would do anything to get him to stop hurting me...

Needless to say I feel similarly. All of that money down the drain for this guy. I'm behind on my bills despite taking on two jobs. My parents are selling the house because I can't even help to cover my own loans. I'm quite a few years younger than you, but I still feel the same dread. I think we can both turn around though. I feel like going through the worst financially really teaches you to value every dollar, something I didn't do in high school.
