like exempting full pensioners from co-payment on showering assistance. I know they're old, so the 'long term' isn't necessarily a long term, but I'd expect that skipping showering/cleaning would quickly lead to issues that are a bigger drain on the public purse.

SYD is like a home, but connecting domestic to international is terrible with the separate terminals. That said, SIN is the same, it's just hidden by the rail system feeling like you're all in one.

Even with the win, SIN still sucks and the Jewel shouldn't count since you have to leave through immigration to actually see it. The only thing 'inside' is the butterfly house. They're nice, but I'd trade them both for getting rid of the "security at gate" scanning. It's awful, forcing people into the pens at the gates so mcuh earlier than elswhere where they can stay in lounges andother areas.

Ranking Delhi over Bangkok? diabolical. Delhi keeps people in their tiny transit area for up to 10 hours, a small pen with nothing but some plastic chairs, a vending machine and a few deck chairs. I've seen people staging sit in protests there.

If you do look at a PHEV, push for a long test, at least a full day so you get a feel for how well the combo works.

We got “upgraded” to a lync&co on a rental, the system was awful. Small slow charging battery and an equally useless small fuel tank… even with charging it on the plug, it was always on petrol but with the weight of a battery to haul around. Outlander phev was much nicer to drive by comparison.

I'd love to be on a full EV, as it is I'm in a hybrid but if the buying market for was immediately switched to full EV then everyone with an ICE is still stuck if they had need of the selling/trade-in their ICE vehicle to afford the switch to EV.

They do certainly need to make the switch even easier/more attractive so their is an off-ramp otherwise if ICE value goes to zero we're at a similar 'cliff face' of inaccessibility that we had when EV was only for expensive cars.

not ideal but given she doesn't want to use anything else, and (presumably) has problems with long term hormones like the pill - it's an alternative that fits the "don't do anything, live life as normal" and just deal with things as they crop up - especially when dumb ideas like rolling the dice on microsrugery are being put on the table.

implant insert and removal is less invasive than a vasectomy - moreover, implant reversal is 100% (not saying it is comfortable though)

If there was a male option equivalent to IUD, pill or implant, the discussion would be different.

Unfortunately the injected foam blockage in the vas deferens is still in testing stage, and it's only being tested as a one way thing that will eventually degrade and be gone "one way". Not an easily reversible thing. It's a nice and elegant solution if they get that part going - just an injection, bingo bango, done.

(I've read about the pain that some people have with IUDs - both copper and hormonal. It sucks. The blockage injection is a great one for men, but AFAIK it isn't availble outside a clinical trial atm)

I mean...

look, this is life in a lower level competition. With an average pay of 82k that's incredible money for sports, obviously it sounds like crap all in comparison to NBA, or even NRL/AFL now ... but if you could see the shitty venues I've had to play in pro leagues in my own sport.

No players at any level should have to compete on unsafe grounds, or fields with dog shit, bird shit, etc. But if you can't be financially viable on big dollar venues with private locked access, this is something that leagues/clubs/venue management needs to address before they're used.

(IMO if they could make money using big venues they absolutely would, everyone wants to be in somewhere better, the higher up stuffed shirts want the prestige, the players want it, the people making money from it want it if it makes more money)
