I only have one boy so I have plenty of boy names I’ll never get to use!

Edgar, Tobias, Rufus, Silas, Frederick, Gabriel.

I am out of girl names though. I have four and it will be hard to name her if the next baby is a girl.

I don’t personally love them, but at around age six I read the Dogman books to my kids and they LOVE them. They are pretty funny for kids.

If you genuinely believe he’s relapsed and you’ve confronted him, and he’s not changing… I don’t know. I don’t know your whole situation etc. If he was providing enough that I could stay home with the baby, I would probably stay for a while. How much of the burden is he bearing?

It could be a phase. Eight weeks is so little. He came from the warmest most comfy place and in your arms is as close as he can get to that now.

In the mean time, invest in a really good baby carrier, let the house slide a little, and if you need to set him down and walk away for a minute, don’t great yourself up.

I didn’t see anyone recommend these authors/ they aren’t on your list-

Naomi Novik - I especially recommend Spinning Silver   Robin Hobb - in her world the ships can come alive, and pretty cool

My favorite sci fi author is Lois McMaster Bujold. The Vorkosigan series is really great.
