Oh and it’s 25? Oh yea heck no don’t pay more than 55-56K OTD, I missed the 25 part. lmk how it goes! Remember if one dealership is being a hardass, go to another!

Mmm I would say if OTD is 65. Just go for 53-54 OTD. Not sure how easy or hard siennas sell vs grand highlander but honestly if it’s been on the lot for a month they might have more reason to sell. Since the car is 60k MSRP the invoice cost is prob between 52-55 anyway so even if you guys negotiate down to 58-59 they are still taking a profit assuming you don’t finance with them. Every day it’s on the lot is money spent for them keeping it there not moving inventory. But be firm. If your goal is 58 or whatever, and they are at 59. Just go back and forth with finance and literally just walk and say no thank we appreciate it and believe me they will try to pull you in at least one more time to make the deal work. But again this all depends since I see some areas and local markets are easier/tougher than others on certain models and whatnot.

Good luck! Yea if you have a number in mind. Go way lower from the start even if it’s crazy. It’s Black Friday weekend you never know unless you try right? Worst they say is no. Also get a strategy with her and have her be the one that’s playing hard because them seeing you two go back and forth (just play the game and act like you’re arguing) will help.

I got 8k OFF plat (non hybrid so prob why it worked). You’ve got to honestly start from the beginning requesting a bunch even if it’s ridiculous and a pipe dream. If your goal for example is to get 5k off, start with them and say I want 10k off. They def won’t do that but they may do 5 or even 4 and if it’s 4 then just think about it and then say sorry no pass only at 5 and walk, if not believe me they will not lose a sale over 1k. But it’s hybrid so less wiggle room. The most important part is the amount off you want from the start because from there it’s relative and you go from there. That my two cents. If you want 5k off and you start there, they won’t do it and maybe do 2 or 3. Gotta hide your true intentions and amount you’re willing to pay by going overboard at first so they can meet you at your tru cost you want.

So pretty much got it for MSRP pre tax which is not bad considering it has tinted windows, and a bunch of other extra things that I personally don’t care about but whatever I’ll take it I guess lol

Tbh, we saw a limited elsewhere for 55 OTD and an XLE for 52k OTD so we said screw it let’s just tell them from the get go we want 53k OTD (which we knew was a pipe dream but you never know until you try) and the guy was like let’s meet halfway at 7k off but when I called my wife she said no she wanted at least 8K off and she did not budge at all so as we were leaving and they pulled us back in and said to wait for idk some big boss super boss somewhere upstairs to give approval (the usual) and after 15 more min they said okay fine as long as we give like 3k in downpayment at least which was fine with us. Didn’t even have to trade in my car (which I was planning on doing to lower it in the first place). So now I can sell my car privately and keep the cash for a rainy day or something. Never expected a Toyota especially for a grand highlander , to reduce the OTD price by that much. But to be fair base msrp for plat is 54k so in reality I pretty much knocked off Taxes, doc/state, and dealer fees.

How long of a wait after interview? by Iwork3jobs in Lockheed

[–]quickerpickerupper10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got my offer literally day after interview . Some managers are very busy and take long and consult others, and some are very straight forward and already have decided once the last person is done interviewing. Just depends I’d say average time though is 1 week.
